3 Easy Ways to Pitch to UGC Brands
How I Get UGC Brand Deals
This past year I discovered UGC or User Generated Content and it has helped my business so much! It’s brought in thousands of dollars to my business and I’m only getting started. It’s pretty easy to start getting paid in this world and not too hard to get deals situated.
Join Websites like #Paid
I got my first start in UGC through #Paid! It’s a website for influencers and creators. While I have also done influencer work through the website, I also have started to take campaigns that I send in without actually posting on my page. I personally enjoy websites like #paid or even brkfst because these sites already have brands that need campaigns and they can even reach out to you if something comes up.
Actually, the day I am writing this I was sent a request for a UGC campaign through brkfst. All I needed to do is create a video sample for the site and I heard from my first campaign within a week. Other brands that do UGC are Insense, WeSponsored and so many more!
Create Daily Content on Social Media
The next way I’ve made connections in UGC has been through consistently posting to my own TikTok and Instagram. Each day I create videos and photographs that I can then use as an ongoing portfolio for brands. I’ve even been approached by brands just from creating content and pivoted gifted promotions into UGC campaigns. Honestly it never hurts to ask which leads us into our last way to pitch…
Send DMs on Instagram to Brands
Finally my greatest secret to pitching is to just send messages on Instagram! I reach out to 20+ brands a week offering my UGC services to a whole host of brands. Since I work in the lifestyle realm, I tend to focus on lifestyle, travel, food and beauty companies when pitching. I always ask the brands for a good email and give them a small idea to run with. It’s allowed me to feel more confident in my pitching and I am able to charge far more this way as opposed to pitching on brand websites.
Go and Watch Your Business Grow
I hope these tips help you in your content creation business! I know it can be difficult to get started in UGC, it took me a few months to get into a groove but I feel like I’m really hitting my stride now. Once you start putting yourself out there to businesses and applying for sites, your business is going to thrive!
Until next time,
