Hello! My name is Lauren and I am a senior in college at Gonzaga University (as seen above at the Vegas tournament in March)! Throughout my life, I have always loved fashion and shopping. Since going to college, I have learned to cut back on the spending and I came up with some tips to look great without breaking the bank. Keep reading to see how I save!

Tip 1: Make a List

I love to keep a shopping list on my phone! To start, I think about the items I feel are missing from my wardrobe and I like to think about how I can style these pieces with what I already have. Sometimes when I’m shopping, I just grab anything I like without thinking about the piece in context of my current wardrobe. With my list, I know exactly what I need and I can shop from there! A list also helps me budget and know what to save my money for. Usually I have a rough number for the cost of each item and I try to spend around that price point. Finally, make the list on your reminders so you can check off each thing you get!

Tip 2: Shop at Places like Marshalls or Nordstrom Rack

Over the weekend, my mom and I went to Marshalls and I made out like a bandit! I looked for brands I already own because I know they are great quality and I can trust them. Marshalls has a ton of great pieces from brands I already buy from stores like Nordstrom. If you aren’t already acquainted with higher end shops, definitely take some time to research them online or in store and get a feel for what you like. Then, you can find them WAY cheaper at Marshalls or TJ Maxx! I found the SOFTEST quarter zip from Marshalls from the brand Thread and Supply. I got mine for only $25 and I am in love!!

Another great spot is Nordstrom Rack. If you look at the clearance section in the back, everything marked red actually came from Nordstrom stores (trust me I have sent many items to the rack over the years!). Although you should always be cautious at these stores and double check labels and materials, they are a great place to stay on trend while looking great!

Tip 3: Download Honey

(not sponsored) I got the Honey app for my Google Chrome awhile back and I seriously have saved a lot of money with its codes! The extension looks for any applicable codes to your favorite shops and it’s actually a game changer. I saved 30% on my favorite sweaters last month and I plan to use it to find some white booties!! My cute sweater below I got with the discount! This is also a great option for cute online boutiques that have more unique pieces but aren’t extremely cheap like some other spots. Comment below if you buy anything using honey!
