I cannot believe this is my first year without school! It’s literally been almost 20 years since this has been the case 😭Growing up, I always loved back to school shopping. My birthday is around the time school starts so I always loved picking out some fresh outfits as birthday gifts. We should have known at the time that I was destined to work in fashion 😅 Although school looks a little different nowadays, I know we still love looking and feeling our best for new classes so I came up with some fun back to school outfits. Keep reading to become inspired!
Casual Dress
Last month, I found this amazing dress for only $12 at H&M! I love simple dresses like this because they can be easily dressed up or down depending on what you have going on. I personally love it with a trucker jacket and sneakers, although it would also look amazing layered under a cardigan or flannel. For class, dresses like this are perfect because you can throw them on and go! I would wear dresses like this to school all the time and I never regretted it!
Sweater Weather
I am the biggest proponent of sweaters! I found this adorable one from Pink Lily Boutique. It’s a chenille material and is ridiculously soft. Back in high school, I used to love sweaters like this and for awhile I had a gigantic sweater collection. Over the years it has dwindled but I am determined to grow the collection once more and have an incredible array of knits to wear 😍
Black and White
One outfit that will NEVER go out of style is a white top and black jeans. I love how classic this look is while remaining modern with the cuts and materials. An outfit like this is also great for class, you can easily take off the jacket and jeans plus a tank are great items to wear when sitting all day. These jeans are the comfiest and look great with a sneaker. Never be afraid to wear a good sneaker to class, it’s a game changer for getting around any campus!
Zoom University
For those of us studying at Zoom University (and for that I am SO sorry), here is a great comfy class outfit! I just got this sweatshirt in and I already know it’s going to be a closet staple! I love the charcoal color and it pairs well with these camo leggings. Honestly this look is perfect for staying on trend while also spending all day working from your bed or couch. I will be living in this as I work from home!
Distressed Denim
Finally we have a great layering option! I adore this look for fall, it’s perfect for any type of layering. While the weather remains toasty, this outfit is great with just a sandal and no jacket. As the temperatures dip and classrooms freeze, just throw on a flannel and you are set. Remember, regardless of where classes are taking place, nothing beats a good outfit!
