First Snowfall Outfit Ideas | November 2022

Snow Friendly Outfit Ideas

I am so sad to report winter outfit ideas this early into the year! In Spokane we have already had our first snowfall of the season which is a bit premature in my opinion but it’s bringing the winter fashion into full force! With that in mind, here is how I am layering for the chilly weather this year as a midsize gal!

Cozy Cardigan Outfit

Kicking off the snow approved outfits is my cardigan and snow boot combination! I absolutely love this pair from Marc Fisher, they have lasted me season after season and they look fabulous with a skinny pant and a big cardigan. Of course if you go outside I recommend adding a big coat but if you’re running errands or grabbing coffee this is a great option!

Sweater and Dress Outfit

I recently picked up this dress from Boutique Bleu and had to wear it to a local networking event! The material is incredibly soft and it paired perfectly with my favorite Free People sweater. While it wasn’t the most practical for the snow, I would suggest this look for holiday parties. It’s festive while remaining comfortable.

Pro Tip: To get the cropped sweater look for this outfit, take a belt and tie it tight at the natural waist. Then tuck your sweater into it and bam you are good to go!

Leather Leggings Outfit

Attention edgy girls this one is for you! To go and get my monthly manicure I opted for my favorite Spanx leather leggings and an oversized band tee. This has been a fashion go-to of mine for some time now and goes fabulously with chunky black boots. Not only are these shoes stylish but they are rather practical for the ice and snow. To top off the look, I added a simple puffer coat and a baseball cap. You really can’t go wrong!

Flannel and Flares Outfit

Toward the end of the week it was time to place comfort first. I went with a new flannel and my favorite flared pants from Urban Outfitters. These are such a classic and look great with any sort of platform shoe. Since I was running errands and wanted to be comfortable that day, I opted for my favorite Uggs but this outfit would work just as well with a pair of platform high tops.

Elevated Streetwear

I was out shopping at my favorite vintage store in town 4 AM and the owner asked me what my favorite luxury streetwear brand is. To be honest I don’t really have one unless Gucci counts 🤷🏻‍♀️ But it got me thinking about elevated streetwear which is more my speed and I came up with this simple black and brown outfit. It was perfect for grabbing coffee with a longtime friend and was cozy enough to keep me warm. If you really wanted to get crazy, you could add the sherpa boots but I wanted to maintain the activewear edge from the hoodie.

Have a Great Week

I hope these outfits inspire your week ahead! Since moving to Spokane, my personal style has really been pushed between my weekly activities as well as the variant weather we’ve been having. I also continue to find myself in situations where I need to somewhat dress up so I’m starting to elevate my wardrobe once again. It’s such a drastic turnaround from my Olympia style and I cannot wait to see how it evolves.

Until next time,

Lauren
