Mid January Outfit Ideas

Weekly Winter Outfit Inspiration

This past week marks my first week as a self employed content creator! I have absolutely loved getting the time to work on my projects and really create fun videos and pictures for you. With that in mind, I’ve finally been able to dress life myself again and create easy, wearable outfits for everyday. See, for the last 5 months I’ve been working in corporate America and my styling options were quite limited. Now, I can wear whatever I feel like and I’ve been able to style some fun looks. Start scrolling to see what I made!

Striped Sweater Styling

Starting the week strong is this simple black and white outfit. I love how lightweight and easy the sweater is, its the perfect layering piece for a colder day. To keep warm, I added a trucker jean jacket and my favorite leggings. I then finished the look with some high top converse to bring the white out in the shirt. For errands or overall casual days, this is one outfit that should be in your heavy rotation!

Waffle Knit Fit

This easy travel outfit is perfect for a road trip or flight. Starting with a tee that is actually part of a lounge set, I again went with my favorite leggings and this time around added some simple black sneakers. You can easily layer this look with a jean jacket or your favorite puffer for added warmth. Remember, whenever you are working with more colorful tops, it can be nice to keep the rest of the outfit simple utilizing black basics!

Feather Fanatic

Midway through the week I was invited to see Cirque Du Soleil in Seattle and I wanted to wear something extra special for the occasion. I ordered this fun tank from Amazon and styled it with some new high waisted jeans. In winter, an all white outfit is so impactful and really makes a statement. To tie the look together, I added my favorite Amazon white booties and called it a day. I felt so magical in this look and had the best time at the event! (If you’re local, you need to check it out. I can’t recommend it enough!)

Graphic Sweatshirt Style

As the week went on, I wanted to wear something colorful and bright to brighten my mood. This meant wearing a baby blue sweatshirt! I find this color to be very winter appropriate and it paired well with my yoga pants. To top off the look, I wore my favorite Reebok sneakers because the white brought out the white in the sweatshirt. Remember, the secret to any great outfit is cohesion and simple colors.

Straight Leg Jean Dream

Back in the spring, I got my first pair of straight leg jeans and absolutely loved them. They’re also my first Levi’s and are surprisingly comfortable. For this outfit, I wanted to maintain the ease of these jeans by adding my favorite white sweater and white chunky sneakers. While this outfit may give the appearance of spring, it’s still warm enough for winter and is a great base outfit for extra layers such as a long coat.

Oversized Shacket Outfit

To end the week, I wore my favorite plaid shacket from Amazon with a simple tank and jeans. I went out to a great brunch spot in Tacoma called Waffle Stop with my friend Madi and this was the perfect outfit for the occasion. Simple enough to eat in yet polished enough to look fashionable for the weekend. Overall a fun day and yet another option for an oversized shacket!

Happy Styling

I hope these outfit ideas help you going into the new week! There is nothing better than some simple styles to get your brain moving for the next few days. Remember, try to make the outfits as balanced as you can with oversized and fitted items. If you’re feeling crazy, you could always do colorful outfits but in true Lauren fashion we mainly did neutrals here. I think they’re the easiest and always look cute! Before we go, comment your favorite look I shared. And, if you recreate anything, tag me!

Until next time,
