Hosting my First Influencer Brunch
Hosting a 75,000 Followers Party
At the end of April 2023 I had a super special event, it was a celebration of over 75,000 followers on Instagram! I still cannot believe I achieved such a huge milestone as an influencer but your girl did the dang thing. What started off as a passion project at 21 has turned into an entire career at age 25 with a following of now 86,000 people. The craziest part of all this is how quickly it happened, I skyrocketed from 35,000 in March to 85,000 in April and it’s a beautiful, fierce community. In honor of this achievement and to celebrate the 50,000 milestone as well, I hosted a beautiful brunch with my dear friends and colleagues at Inland Pacific Kitchen here in Spokane WA. To learn about the experience, keep on reading!
Influencer Brunch Preparation
Prior to the event itself was the decoration and set up for the brunch. Since this entire day was done by myself and Christine of Posted Consulting, we were in charge of all decor and preparation. The night before the brunch, I went out to Target and purchased some table runners and 3 gorgeous glass vases to use for bouquets. I then bought purple and white flowers at my local Trader Joes to use as floral arrangements on the table. I loved the pop of color they provided and it added a springy element to the space. Alongside the table decor I also made a banner that said 75k to hang in the entrance. I loved how the elements came together in Inland Pacific Kitchens space since it was quite a large room with ample lighting.
On top of all the decor I also had Linked Permanent Jewelry come and provide permanent bracelets and necklaces for my girls. While this was an additional cost, I loved the sentimentality of the experience and it helped another local business owner. If you are having an influencer party yourself, I recommend providing some sort of experience for your guests. This could be a photo booth, gift packages or jewelry like I did!
Food for the Brunch
For the actual brunch itself, I had the most incredible food provided by Inland Pacific Kitchen. Above I shared a few personal favorites but we ate like queens the entire time. From spectacular cocktails to a parade of dishes, this event was done right. We were able to sample the vast majority of their brunch menu and I got to try several items I personally haven’t had before. I am a huge foodie so this was a total treat and honor. If you go to IPK, I recommend you get their strawberry pancakes or their salmon rye toast alongside the dishes featured above. Everything was absolute perfection and you can tell the chefs care about the food at the establishment. Plus I am always a huge food advocate so if you event can center around food and laughter, you are in for a memorable day.
Guests and Invitations
Of course no influencer party is complete without influencers and local tastemakers. While it was challenging getting several women to agree to a Saturday morning event, I am so thrilled with who was able to come. To get people in the door, we made cute invitations on Canva and asked the girls who were creatives to share the experience to socials. Most gals were local influencers or my dear friends who have been there from the start of my social media journey. This events main goal was to have an intimate celebration with my girls who have been a part of my influencer journey. I’ve found that Spokane was truly the pivotal place for my career to really take off, from my girls from college being in town to the new creator friends I’ve made via social media, I know I wouldn’t have hit this level of success without them.
I am truly pinching myself to this day thinking of how far I’ve come in the last 7 months since moving to Spokane. Once you place roots somewhere and allow for community to build you up through a solid reputation and hard work, the sky is truly the limit for you. It’s been here in Spokane that I have finally become an influencer with statistics I could have only dreamed of a year ago. This is really why I wanted to celebrate, I had to give back to everyone that has supported me and stuck by me through this change. If you were there, I thank you again. It was the perfect way to celebrate.
Event Planning as an Influencer
Overall this experience has shown me that I have what it takes to be an event planner and someone who can bring about community. At this brunch I had several influencers, a photographer, and everyday friends I’ve known for the better part of a decade. I also learned that once you lean on your people and community magic can really start to happen. I want to thank Inland Pacific Kitchen once more for the event space and incredible food, it left me feeling so happy! I also can’t thank my friends enough for supporting me and helping me get ready for everything. With a bit of planning and a desire for success, you too can host a brunch or any influencer event.
