5 Things to See in Seabrook WA

Seabrook WA Travel Recap

Earlier this month I went back to Seabrook WA for the first time in almost a decade! It’s the perfect coastal getaway about 2.5 hours southwest of Seattle. Located on Roosevelt Beach, this community is so quiet and calm. Whether you are going with your family or your off on a girls trip like I was, Seabrook has a little bit for everyone. Below I am sharing my top 5 experiences and things to do in the town. Overall I advise you to spend the trip relaxing but adventures are always great too! To learn of my favorites, keep on reading.

By the way, I went with 4 other friends and was gifted a stay at Sorry Knot Sorry. It was a gorgeous property and can fit up to 6 people! Its a great place for a birthday getaway or an early bachelorette party. You can easily fit a family in the house as well, I was pleasantly surprised!

Wine Tasting at Stowaway

Stowaway: 203 Market St, Pacific Beach, WA 98571

The first thing my group and I did when arriving to Seabrook was visit Stowaway, a wine bar located on the main street. It’s a quiet establishment with big open windows and practically a library of wine. I loved how clean it was and I got a great glass of sparkling wine for a reasonable price. We also got an assortment of charcuterie boards which were truly the star of the show. My personal favorite was the Italian board that had a bunch of bread with burrata and pesto. They also adapt their plates on your parties size so there is no need to fret about getting enough food.

Spend Time at the Beach

My biggest recommendation almost goes without saying, you must spend time at the beach! It’s at most a ten minute walk from town and it was perfectly relaxing. We actually hit the beach twice, first on the initial night of our stay after we had dinner and again after we went on a small walk the second morning. The beach was several steps down a wooden staircase and was both super clean and quiet. Granted we went early in the week in May but it was absolutely perfect.

Pro Tip: if you visit the coast, be sure to pack yourself layers. It gets rather windy outside and you’ll feel a bit chilly. I like wearing lightweight button downs with tanks or tees. There is a diverse amount of activities to do in town so be sure to pack an arrange of clothes!

Go Hot Tubbing

Something I noticed at most of the houses was a hot tub in the yard. Our house had a good sized one located to the side of the front yard. It was nicely maintained and super easy to use. When hot tubbing, be sure to follow the rules of the house and take your time in there. I also recommend bringing your own towel and a few swimsuits if you’re staying multiple nights. My group and I had so much fun unwinding after long days and with the weather looking so great this time of year, you really can’t go wrong!

Make a Candle

Lorraine’s: 215 Market Street Suite 1A Pacific Beach WA

Another great activity in Seabrook was taking a candle making class. I made something I call the Seabrook Shanty, it’s a minty and beachy combination that reminds me of our trip. In this class, you only pay for the candle holder. With the class itself, you are guided by an instructor who shows you a ton of different fragrances. We got to pick 2-3 scents for our candle then you add it into tempered oil. Once you’ve created your signature scent and let the candle sit for two hours, you come back and have a souvenir! It was unlike anything I’d done before on a trip so it was certainly a must for me.

Spend Time Shopping the Town

Joie Des Livres: 216 Market Street Pacific Beach WA

My final tip is to shop around downtown. They had cute clothing stores, a Seabrook merch spot, and a precious bookstore. I also spent way too much money at the candy store in town, it had some of the best ice cream I’d ever tried as well as a lovely gourmet cotton candy. Like most coastal communities, Seabrook relies on tourism to continue so shopping at the local haunts was a treat. I also picked up a post card and knew of friends buying pendants and keepsakes. Since the prices weren’t too steep, I didn’t feel too bad shopping a bit and having some items to remember the trip by.

Safe Travels to Seabrook

I hope this inspires your next trip to Seabrook. It is truly a gorgeous area filled with great food and the perfect beach experience. While it was a bit of a trek from Spokane, it was a quick drive from Seattle/Olympia. I also loved going as an adult, the winery was delightful and the relaxing yet creative activities were just what I needed. If you are a bit sportier, they had a lot of outdoor activities as well as a cute historical house/garden for history buffs like myself. There are also a ton of events coming this summer to make your experience that much better! For more trips and the most up to date content, I invite you to visit my Instagram and TikTok.

Until next time,
