3 Easy Halloween Costume Ideas for Fall 2024
3 Easy Halloween Costumes for Her
Can you believe Halloween is a little over a week away? I can’t! This is certainly one of my favorite times of year between the costumes and normalization of eating candy. I also love the Halloween parties, I have attended 2 so far this month and have one more this weekend! If you are planning Halloween festivities and you aren’t sure what to wear, this post is for you. I have the cutest outfits on a budget that should also come quickly or can easily be recreated at local stores!
1: Cute NASA Astronaut
My first costume was such a fun one, it’s a NASA astronaut! I borrowed the best helmet from my best friends dad that was originally from the 1960s. Amazon has a lot of similar options right now that would be great for yourself or a kid. For the actual costume itself, I went with a mini skirt I got last fall for another costume and I styled it with this cute NASA graphic tee. I love how versatile and vintage this shirt looks, you can wear it obviously for the costume but it would also work great for everyday adventures with a good pair of jeans and sneakers.
Pro Tip: always shop your closet before shopping for Halloween! I have become quite the fan of rewearing items I already own and buying one or two accessories to complete the look. In the case of the NASA girl, I almost ordered a white jumpsuit and NASA iron on patch but I figured it would be a lot cheaper and easier to go the route I ultimately did. Sometimes less is more plus this whole outfit is still available on Amazon so if you’re a last minute shopper, fear not!
2: Espresso Martini (or the Turd)
My second costume was a bit more avant-garde but it worked well for my second Halloween party. This time around I wore a brown bodysuit I already had in my closet that has been a great wardrobe basic by the way. Again this was an Amazon find and the rest of the look was purchased through Amazon too. I also already owned the boots, they have been great for work and nice occasions like a Halloween party! To make the outfit a bit girlier, I ordered this fun cargo skirt and these brown earrings. I think the jewelry took this outfit to the next level because they look like little espresso beans. Plus the 80s vibes of these earrings are too cute to pass up I promise I will be wearing these more as the holiday season continues!
For the outfit to be a true success, you do need to carry around a shaker or an espresso martini. Some gals at my event didn’t quite get the costume and my boyfriend thought I was a turd 🤣 If you need something girly and cutesy, this is definitely the way to go and it might help to add a few friends to this costume to be a variety of martinis. I also could have done a brown headband or created a plastic “glass” shape over my bodysuit to really make it on the nose. If that seems like too much as it did for me, this is your reminder that you don’t have to always go overboard when celebrating Halloween!
3: Kim Possible Costume
Our last costume is another easy and dare I say lazy girl look! This whole outfit is from Rainbow Shops and I love how budget friendly while also being size inclusive they are. I got to try a few of their pieces recently and love how trendy and curve conscious their pieces are. Everything fit well and its a great place to shop without breaking the bank. For this costume in particular, I played with the camo pant trend we keep seeing online alongside a simple black bodysuit. If you want to get crazy, add a red wig and you could also get a stuffed naked mole rat to complete the look!
Happy Halloween
I hope these costumes inspire your Halloween plans this year! I just love this time of year and I have one more outfit up my sleeve for this weekend that I am saving as a surprise for Saturday. It’s my first ever couples costume and I am so excited to share this look with everyone.
