5 Outfits for Bridal Showers and Baby Showers

5 Outfits to Wear to Baby Showers or Bridal Showers

I am definitely in the stage of life where everyone is getting married or having babies! I have gone to bridal showers and baby showers a few times in the last several years but they have not been as frequent as now! In 2025, I have 3 bridal showers, a baby shower plus extra events like welcome dinners and 7 actual weddings! It’s a crazy year but I would have it no other way. If you are also knee deep in this stage of life, keep on reading!

PS: If you are struggling in this chapter because you feel behind compared to your friends, BEEN THERE! When I first started going to weddings, I really struggled with feeling behind and like I would never get to that stage of life. I still struggle with it a bit today because I am not engaged or married like I thought I would be by now but I am also soaking up the girlfriend era of life and I’m enjoying my time with Matt. You only get the present once and it’s not fair to you or your friends to play the comparison game. Instead focus on what is going right in your life and remind yourself daily what is going well. By remaining optimistic, when you do get to those new life stages they will be even sweeter!

Option One: Cupcake Mini Dress

I will warn you now, pretty much every outfit I share in this post comes from Nuuly! This clothing rental service has been an absolute game changer when it comes to preparing for special occasions and events because I only have to spend $98 for 6 new garments! Once I’m done wearing them for the event, it’s time to send them back and get new pieces!

Now, I am actually going to be in a wedding this weekend and it’s my first time being a bridesmaid! For the bridal shower, we had a theme of Lovers from Taylor Swift so I had to wear a fun cupcake dress. This is a Selkie find and while it’s a bit of a splurge, it’s perfect for nice occasions like a bridal shower! Coming in several colors and designs, it’s great for a special event. I found it was true to size, easy to style and comfortable while decorating and of course mingling with everyone. For a momma to be, this would be SO CUTE with a bump! I could see myself dressing like that someday at a baby shower 🤭

Option Two: Basque Waist Dress

Our next dress is another Nuuly find and I am also obsessed with it. It’s a very comfortable For Love and Lemons dress which is one of my favorite dress brands. I discovered them last year through Marmalade boutique and I have not stopped. This dress in particular I wore to a baby shower for a dear friend and it was perfect for what I needed. It was also comfortable and I liked the smocked detail. If you have a more casual bridal shower or baby shower, this is a great option because you still look elevated (which you should it’s a special event) while still feeling good. I also think it would be fun dressed down with a jean jacket and sneakers for a date night depending what your schedule looks like. Remember the key to fashion is to have fun with it!

Outfit Three: Floral Maxi

My second bridal shower of the year took me to a fancier event and I knew I had to dress up a bit! When going to events with the upper class, you want to really put in thought and effort into your appearance and style. For this dress, I went with my trusty For Love and Lemons brand which felt amazing and looked so cute. Originally I was going to style this with a pair of heels but it was raining that day so I went with boots instead and it was so fun! I also wore this with a block heel for a welcome dinner and I felt so cute and comfortable. Versatile dresses like this are so fun and such a staple to have in your closet!

Outfit Four: Lace Dress

Another great dress option is this beautiful lace number from Nuuly! It’s from my go-to brand Free People and it fits me like a glove. I like the stretchiness and it’ll be perfect for a more romantic bridal shower event. I also think this would be great for a baby shower or wedding because the colors are super sweet and comfortable. The key to this dress is to wear your hair up because it also has a stunning open back! Statement dresses will make you feel confident and if you don’t know many people at the function, I know a good outfit will make you feel better and people will be more likely to talk to you!

Outfit Five: Strapless Maxi Dress

My final outfit is a cutie maxi dress from Amazon and I wore it to a baby shower last year! The best part about this dress is it’s lined, its super stretchy and comfortable and it comes in a ton of different colors that could match being for a boy or girl. Also, if you’re the one expecting this would be a great mama to be dress! I found it to be super comfortable and it can double as a wedding guest dress depending on the venue!

Have so much Fun!

I hope these outfits inspire your upcoming events! It has been such a treat celebrating all of my friends during this time of life whether it’s enjoying their babies or upcoming weddings. The key here is to wear fun pieces that speak to you and make you feel confident. When out at gatherings like this, I always like to wear something a little bolder so I feel better talking to new people. For more outfit ideas, be sure to check out my Instagram and TikTok!
