Amazon Fashion and Lifestyle Favorites as a Midsize Gal
I can’t believe Prime Days are over and it’s time to review some new products! As you know I have a bit of an Amazon addiction. There are just too many cute pieces to shop and I was able to find a few great items during the sales! I also have been slowly adding to my closet the past few months with new accessories and fashion looks for less. One of the best parts of being an Amazon shopper is finding pieces that are designer for far less. I don’t know about you but my budget has tightened a lot in this economy and while I love cool clothes I know I cannot be splurging all the time on high end pieces. Especially as trends continue to cycle through I cannot justify getting expensive pieces I only will wear a few times. Instead I will always support saving in those areas and instead getting pricier staples that will last for years!
Midsize Amazon Fashion Finds

This was a last minute Fourth of July find and I am so glad I got it! I love the bold red shade and the ribbed material for everyday. I will say at times it’s a little too cropped for me but I think I’m slowly phasing out of cropped shirts and preferring something a bit longer to remain more covered up. Nonetheless this is not a shirt that is so cropped that I totally feel exposed! It is a great color overall and the material of the tank is great. Whether you are wearing it on its own with a skirt in the summer or layered under a cardigan with jeans in the fall, I think this tank is going to be quite versatile throughout the year.
Pro Tip: layer a tank like this under a sweatshirt for a unique look! I have started experimenting more with layering this past year and I find its the perfect way to have an outfit with personality. As someone who shied away from color for so long, it’s been nice slowly incorporating it into my everyday style. Especially with my robust neutrals collection, this has fit in rather well!
Striped romper
If you have been following my page for awhile, you know I am a huge Free People fan. I fear I have expensive taste with an Amazon budget however I have lucked out a lot this year and found the best lookalikes for these higher end fashion finds. One such piece was this cutie striped romper that I saw everywhere on social media. Initially purchased for a photoshoot, I found this piece to be ideal for work and play this summer. I have loved it with cowboy boots for a fun night out or styled with sneakers for a more casual day. I also think this will translate well with a tall boot come fall. Especially when styled with a lace top underneath or with a big jacket thrown over top. Either way I love pieces like this that can take you from one season to the next so seamlessly.
Pro Tip: if you don’t like boxier items like this, consider styling this romper with a belt! It will add a nice definition to your waist without looking too boxy and bulky. I would go with something on the thicker side to balance out the stripes but anything goes with a statement piece like this!
white square toe flats
I did not think I would like these flats as much as I do! There is something about a statement shoe that really takes a look to another level. Just this week I was showing these flats to my mom and at first she was a bit reserved about them but once I showed her the shoes styled with a wider piece of denim she understood the appeal. As we transition from summer into fall, I think ballet flats like these are going to be everywhere once more. This pair would work well with the patterned tights trend we are seeing and I imagine these shoes would work well with a fun sock.
Pro Tip: balance out the femininity of these shoes with baggy jeans. The coolest outfits have contrast which could be a masculine top with a feminine shoe or an edgy approach to this footwear with a leather skirt and top. Either way you can’t beat a statement piece like these. It’s a great way to play with 2024 trends (ballet flats, square toes) without breaking the bank. Oh, and these shoes are so comfortable which is a bonus!
Tortoiseshell blue light glasses
Our last fashion find for July were my new tortoise print blue light glasses. I absolutely love blue light glasses, they add the perfect touch to any outfit. While I may not need actual glasses, I find myself reaching for my blue light glasses often as a content creator on her laptop all the time. For everyday wear, these are lightweight enough to have on for hours and they add just the right amount of subtle elevation to any outfit. Lately I’ve realized my personal fashion style is rather simplistic with a lot of neutrals and basics in my wardrobe. The key for me has been adding statement accessories like a unique pair of glasses to give the look personality.
As a friendly reminder, cheetah or tortoiseshell is more a neutral than anything else. I like pairing these glasses with my warmer toned outfits like a tan jacket with brown pants or a pink sweater. Come fall, these glasses are going to be everywhere with me For something a bit more unique, contrast the glasses with a blue or green outfit. The mix of colors will make the outfit far more interesting and provide personal style as opposed to the same looks we always see from girls.
Amazon Beauty Finds

I will be the first to admit I am the laziest person when it comes to my eyebrows. I hate spending more than 15 seconds on them and you will never catch me filling them in. Fortunately I have discovered brow gels and the magic of a “laminated” brow! Enter the best brow gel, this option from Got 2 B! It’s clear, doesn’t make my brows budge and the wand is super easy to maneuver. I like brushing my brows straight up with this product then pushing them somewhat out toward my ears to get a voluminous yet contained look. It’s honestly a game changer and makes my makeup routine event faster than before!
Pro Tip: this is actually a two in one product! Not only does this gel work for the brows but it can be used by women of color to lay down their edges. While I do not use it for that purpose it’s neat to see a product work for anyone regardless of background!
Amazon Home Decor
Floating shelves
I am ashamed to admit this but I have actually had these shelves for well over a year just sitting nicely in their box since I ordered them last spring at my previous apartment. I had always hoped to have a guy hang them for me but alas I never had guys over! Fast forward to today, these shelves are finally up in this new apartment and they look great in my living room. I am using them for my picture frames to highlight my friends and family in my space. My goal is to make this apartment a home and decorate in a way that showcases the rich relationships in my life.
As for the shelves themselves, they were easy to install with a power drill. They can hold a good amount of weight surprisingly enough and since they are white they look great on white walls. I think these would be fun in any space from a bathroom to a bedroom. For me, decor is best when simplistic and embellished with a few statement pieces here and there. Plus since you can place the shelves however you would like in your room, its a nice way to add dimension to your space.
vaccum
With my move came a need for a new vacuum! I got this awesome one on sale on Amazon and I am so glad I did. It charges on the wall and can be used cordless in any space. Living in an apartment, this has been great for a smaller area because it’s flexible and gets into all the nooks and crannies hiding about. I also love that it comes with different attachments to clean off my upholstery.
Where I live now, I have both hardwood flooring as well as carpeting and a rug. This vacuum glides over both with ease and sucks up probably more than it should! I also noticed it can go several uses between charges which is great for anyone busy or forgetful. I definitely fall in the latter category and it’s been nice to have a cleaning tool that works with my lifestyle. If you need a budget friendly vacuum that will get the job done without taking up a ton of space, I cannot recommend this enough!
Box cheese grater
Our last find is for our foodies out there! I recently picked up this box grater since I did not have one from my move. As an avid chef, this is definitely a must for me. I love using this for vegetables actually. I make a shredded zucchini dish throughout the summer that is impossible without this grater. Its sharp, easy to clean and has 4 different cutting options. I also have been meaning to pick up blocks of cheese to keep in my fridge, I just know this grater will be perfect for that too. Its one of those random home essentials that I cannot imagine living without as I continue cooking from home.

I am so sorry for how late this post is going up, I have not been inspired like I once was for the blog. Between my endless travel, growing business endeavors and new familial obligations, it’s becoming a bit of a challenge to be present on here. I do still enjoy writing and of course shopping on Amazon. There is something so magical about a one stop shop, especially one that delivers right to my house. As I continue to find myself on a budget, Amazon has been so helpful with saving a few dollars and making my everyday routines that much easier.
