Busy Week Outfit Ideas

Midsize Friendly Outfits of the week

This past week was crazy busy and I am so grateful! I was doing everything from crazy yoga classes to coffee dates with friends to a gifted experience at a broadway show! With this fantastic, chaotic schedule came the need for a ton of unique outfits so let’s look into a few options that will be perfect for any upcoming occasion.

Black and Brown Activewear

I kicked off the week with not one but two coffee dates with my friends! I ended up trying Ladder coffee here in Spokane and it was incredible. I also tried Revival tea and that too was divine! For all of these liquids and to be sitting for awhile, I wore my favorite onesie with a big puffer jacket and my coziest boots. To complete the look, I added some fun smiley face socks. Nothing beats a cute accessory in my opinion!

Pink Dress Outfit

The second day of the week was a happy treat, I got free tickets to see a local musical! I don’t know about you but I always use a show as an excuse to dress up. This time around I wore a new dress from NanaMacs (btw use code LAURENTRIVISON15 for 15% off) with a big coat and my beloved sparkly booties. Whether you are off to a show or looking for something cute for Valentine’s Day, this satin mini dress is such a vibe. The quality was quite lovely and the overall color was perfection in my book.

Food Blogger Outfit

Alright hear me out on this outfit, I was going for the food critic on Ratatouille. I think it turned out pretty cute and worked well for this cool food event I went to! Since I was on my feet all afternoon taking a million photos and videos, I decided to make things simple with a black sweater, black leather pants and black sneakers. For a pop of color and some warmth for my commute, I also added my favorite green coat. Remember, all black outfits are always a vibe and when they include various textures, they are even better!

Dr Office Outfit

On this day I had a doctor appointment at my new clinic to establish care and as someone who gets anxiety going to the doctors, I knew a good outfit would help me feel more confident. Thus I wore my favorite spanx leggings with a big graphic tee (in case I needed shots or something) and a long tan coat. I completed the look with a pair of big combat boots and a belt bag.

Pro tip: never be afraid to pair black with brown. Ideally you should go with a lighter brown against black to create contrast but either way it’s a good look!

Elevated Loungwear

I ended my week with a manicure appointment so I wore my favorite sweatpants with a basic tank and my trusted tan coat. If you do not have a long tan coat in your wardrobe, this is your sign to pick one up they are phenomenal. To complete this simple outfit, I also added my new velcro sneakers that are quite comfortable from Veja. I think jogger sweatpants like this are always nicely balanced with a simple shoe and fitted tank.

Have a Lovely Week

I hope these outfits inspire your upcoming week! Whether you are shopping for Valentines Day or you just want to make your lounge clothes a bit more interesting, remember that the best of outfits have some sort of juxtaposition. I always aim to make my simple, neutral outfits exciting through unexpected colors and shapes. Also remember to play around with various fabrics to get the best sort of outfit!
