End of Spring Outfit Ideas
End of May Outfits of the Week
This was the longest week ever! I started it off in my hometown and didn’t get much content but once I got home to Spokane it was time to play with my style once again! Whether you need casual outfit ideas for running errands or you’re headed on a date and need a dress, this week has it all. Keep on reading to see my top choices!
Casual Coffee Outfit
The first outfit of the week was this simple neutral outfit. I almost went with a hot pink bodysuit instead of this brown option but the bright color was a bit too much for that morning. Instead I love wearing basic outfits like these, they make for cool looks and they’re easy to style multiple ways. This outfit also just works because you have a simple smooth top and looser denim shorts. I like juxtapositions like this where you’re creating a balance. Plus with the nude sandal I am elongating my legs further and harkening to the brown shirt.
Pro Tip: this outfit would work well with a third piece! Try a lightweight flannel or button down if it’s a bit chilly where you live. It would make the outfit easily go from day to night especially if you’re doing something casual in the evening.
Black and Grey Summer Outfit
Our next outfit is a twist on the first look! This time around I styled those same shorts with a ribbed bodysuit that has a high neck and snatches you in the middle. They’re a copycat to Skims for far less and I’m really pleased with the quality. I also wore this look with simple black sandals which is such a vibe. I highly recommend having a pair like this for the summertime. They are incredibly versatile and are easy to bring on trips if you plan to travel. Again basics like a great pair of sandals will make your wardrobe work for you and you’ll get the most bang for your buck.
Cargo Pants Outfit
I am LOVING the cargo pant trend this year. I think they are so versatile and comfortable for the everyday. While they are low rise pants which initially scared me, I like how you can cinch the sides with bungee cords and get them high enough to sit on your hips. Coming in several colors, I think these are the it pant for 2023. I recommend a lightweight parachute option since they’re easy to pack for travel and they’re just the cutest. I also like how they add a different texture to outfits that I don’t see often these days. For my midsize gals wearing something like this, be sure to style them with a fitted bodysuit. It balances out the look and when completed with a simple sandal or sneaker, you have an overall solid fit!
Colorful Maxi Dress
I oftentimes get asked about modest dresses and this is the best one I’ve found in quite some time! I personally do not follow any fashion restrictions but to each their own. Nonetheless I originally got this dress for a party I was to go to but I ended up wearing it to dinner with my friend. I got so many compliments on this piece because it reminded everyone of the cool aunt in Italy. To make the dress really pop, I wore my hair in a low bun and added my favorite Gucci purse. I also completed the outfit with a brown bootie to pull out the warm tones of the dress. This look would have also worked with cowboy boots or a sandal depending on where you were and what you wore the dress to.
Satin Romper Outfit
My final outfit of the week is a bit eccentric but I love it nonetheless. I was hosting a brunch with my group Gals Need Pals and it was the perfect excuse to wear something fun. I originally got this romper for a beach trip but honestly it worked well for girl time. I gave it a country edge since it was daytime and styled it with a black western belt and my black cowboy boots. If you were headed to a concert, I would recommend also wearing a black cowboy hat!
Pro Tip: for rompers and tops like this that are pretty open and have a mind of their own, secure them with fashion tape! I got mine from Amazon and absolutely love it. Nothing moves when I tape down the fabric and if you did want more modesty, you can also tape the top to give less cleavage. Every woman I believe should have fashion accessories like this to make their clothing work for them.
Have a Fashionable Week
I hope these outfit ideas inspire you! I love having fun with my personal style and experimenting with both casual outfits and looks that are a bit dressier. My hope for you this summer is to feel confident to wear whatever you are interested in and I hope my style encourages that! As a midsize woman myself it can be challenging at times to want to dress up and get crazy. But I promise you when you do you’ll just glow.
