While I hate the sun leaving early, I’m so excited for all the fun fall activities. Oh, and did I mention my love of knitwear?! Sherpa Hoodie
I think sherpa screams fall! I’ve been wearing this material for the last few years and I find it adds a nice texture to any outfit. Oftentimes when I wear sherpa, I go with a sportier style shoe and pant since I usually purchase sherpa sweatshirts. With this outfit in particular, I think the cohesion of the blue top and bottom makes for a great cool weather outfit. It’s cozy and unique which I love!
Also, if you pick up this sweatshirt, it does come in a few colors. I oddly enough loved the teal color because it reminds me of a muppet. When you make fashion fun and have a nod to childhood, you’ve really hit the jackpot in my book.
Distressed Skinny Jeans
With a statement pant like these, I find simplistic tops to be the key. I love how distressed these jeans are overall, it adds again a great texture to any outfit and makes anything casual. Personally, I love a full on casual outfit some days which is why I added a ribbed tank. You could always add a fun jacket too as the temperatures begin to dip!
Now a style tip, if you are shorter these jeans might just be for you! The rips in the knees are a bit high for me although they still provide that beat up look. What these jeans do have going for me though is how soft they are and how fun the exposed buttons are. There’s really nothing better.
Button Down Sweater
Instagram absolutely lost it’s mind over this sweater! With preppy styling back in fashion, this top is the perfect piece. The quarter buttons are a nice touch to an overall simple cream sweater. As a pro tip, be sure to tuck in the bottom of the knit into your pants/skirt to create a more flattering silhouette. When styling any outfit, be mindful of balance and creating shapes that make you feel confident and comfortable in your body.
Mock Neck Sweater
If you need a work sweater, you’ve come to the right place! I absolutely love the thicker material of this piece, as well as the higher neck. The best part about this sweater is the looser high neck. You don’t feel like you’re being choked which is oftentimes the case for knits like this. To style, I recommend a skinny pant or something that tucks into the waist. I think this is a statement piece overall and should be treated as such!
Oversized Cardigan
Throughout fall, I always find value in wearing a sweater. I think they are the perfect layering piece, especially for work. Whether you wear it over a fitted dress like I did above, or add it to a graphic tee look, cardigans can really elevate an outfit. My biggest tip for cardigans like this though is to focus on fitted outfits underneath. That way you can still show off your figure while remaining cozy!
Oversized Sweater
I saved the best for last! For fall, I’m seriously obsessed with this looser orange sweater. I love the exposed stitching on the sleeves and the baggier fit is totally my style. Whether you are dressing this knit up with leather like I did above, or go more casual with ripped jeans and a sneaker, this is one piece your wardrobe will adore!
