First Week of Spring Outfits

Midsize Friendly Spring Outfits

It’s another week of outfit ideas! I will be honest with you I struggled to get real life photos of my outfits this week but I hope these mirror pictures suffice. As spring continues on, I’m starting to play around more with color and new trends. I find the best outfits incorporate both your personal classic style with modern elements to remain fresh and unique to you!

Business Casual Outfit

To kick off the week I had a meeting with a potential virtual assistant. As a new leader, I needed to be professional and elevated without being stuffy and unlike myself. I decided to go with a Lauren classic which is my beloved oversized blazer, a white simple tank, some light wash solid jeans and a pair of black mules. When dressing for the office or work, I recommend combining classic professional attire with modern elements like a spaghetti strap tank or a straight legged jean. Of course if you work in a more professional environment, I say add a trouser but I have always gravitated toward business casual and even then I try to push the envelope when I can.

Everyday Date Night Outfit

My next look was a date night outfit for a second date! I wore the same jeans as before because they are going to be my go-to pants for spring 2023. The color is perfect for this time of year and I like that it doesn’t have holes. To make it date appropriate, I added a cropped long sleeve blouse and a simple pair of booties. This top is perfect for a date because it’s very feminine with the sheer sleeve and modern with the corset detail down the front. I also like the combination of the long jeans with a pointed toe boot. This look makes the legs look incredibly long and slim.

Elevated Loungewear

As the week went on, it was time to break out my matching workout set! I really love the bright green, it feels seasonally appropriate and it made a grey day that much brighter. When looking for sets, I try to find ones that are versatile and are on the fitted side so I can style them with more of my oversized pieces. Alongside this ribbed set, I added my favorite oversized hoodie for a bit of warmth. It’s nice and loose which balances out the fitted nature of the shorts. Also the different textures make this look visually interesting without being overwhelming because there are too many fabrics going on. To complete this outfit, I went with some simple sneakers since it’s an athleisure outfit. I think this works just as well for errands as it does for a nature walk with friends.

Casual Neutral Outfit

One of my favorite parts of fashion is playing around with trends! I have noticed these chunky clog shoes on the Gucci runway and on some of my favorite mega bloggers so I figured it was time for me to give them a try. I am so glad I did they are such a fun spring shoe! This pair from Jeffrey Campbell are so comfortable and add a great elevation to any outfit. To go along with the shoes I wore my favorite oversized boyfriend jeans from Revolve since they are loose and make the chunky shoe not so large. For a top, I went with a new bodysuit from Amazon and my favorite button down from Aerie. This gauzy piece flows nicely into the boyfriend jean but doesn’t compete with the tight under layer.

Oversized JAcket Outfit

Okay this outfit is pretty similar to the look before but I promise they are different! While I kept the same bodysuit, I mixed up the outer layer, shoes and jeans. Once you practice fashion for awhile you will start noticing the style formulas that emerge and it will make getting dressed that much easier. This time around I went with a heavier jacket that is still a bit oversized like the linen one. I also added a loose jean that is perfect for spring because it’s a bit cropped and the wash is great for the lighter colors that emerge this time of year. To complete the look I added my new favorite sneakers from Veja. They are sleek and pretty minimal which are great for an overall baggy outfit.

Have a Stylish Week

I hope the outfits above inspire your personal style! I love creating a whole host of looks depending on my social calendar and what my friends and I are up to. From casual outfits to something sporty, this week has a bit of something for everyone. At the end of the day fashion is all about personal expression and I believe that is something we should always celebrate.
