Sporty Spring Outfit Ideas

Sporty Outfits for Spring

It’s officially spring which means it’s time to break out the activewear! I love wearing workout clothes this time of year, I find myself outside a lot more so outfits I can easily move around in are definitely a priority. Over this past week, I have been running a lot more errands and leaning into more of my sportier pieces. Whether thats Amazon sets or workout dresses, there is really something for everyone!

Layered Workout Dress

Kicking off the week I have this fun workout dress from Abercrombie. It was a super popular item last spring and summer and was always sold out! I finally got my hands on one this year and I definitely see why it was a success, the length is great and the skirt is lined with shorts that have a pocket! I love simple yet functional garments like this, you can dress them up or down depending on what you have going on at the time. For this day, I dressed this dress down with a cropped hoodie and sneakers. I like cropped pieces with a dress like this, you get an hourglass figure this way plus lightweight shoes really lean into the sportiness of this look. You can’t go wrong with everything being neutral too!

Sporty Date Outfit

The next day was another activewear day because I was going on a day date! I ended up going on a 3 mile walk in my favorite flared leggings. They are a Lululemon find and definitely worth the higher price point in my opinion. To balance out the bottoms, I added my new workout top from Amazon. This piece comes in a pack of 3 and is an amazing quality. The fabric is soft yet thick and makes the bust look incredible. I also like how it’s ribbed, it adds texture to an otherwise simple outfit. Finally I added some sleek sneakers and a big jean jacket to stay warm and cozy. It was definitely a successful look!

Sports Bar Style

As the week wore on, it was time to break out the March Madness attire. I am a Gonzaga graduate so I had to rep the team with a baseball cap. For a more mellow overall outfit, I added a basic top and my favorite jacket. While the tan tones didn’t totally match, it was comfortable and perfect for leaving the house. I also added my super distressed jeans for that casual sporty element before completing the look with a pair of simple clogs. I really enjoy shoes like this for spring, they are easy to style with a ton of different denim styles and are comfortable for any occasion.

St Patricks Day Style

Once the weekend rolled around, it was time to go out and celebrate St Patricks Day! I ended up wearing my new favorite tee “Irish Whiskey makes me Frisky” to the bar and it was a complete hit. I styled it with a big flannel, some loose jeans and a sneaker to be comfortable. If I were to wear this outfit again, I would add either a fitted jean or tie up the tee some more to give myself extra shape. I actually ended up leaving the house in wide leg jeans and platform sandals which I found to be a bit more seasonally appropriate. If you don’t have a basic nude sandal for spring, you are missing out!

Matching Workout SEt

To finish off the week, I wore my new green workout set from Amazon. My plans were to work at a coffee shop and visit a neighboring town so I needed something comfortable yet stylish for driving and working. I have always been a big advocate for matching sets, they are a great way to have a full outfit without a lot of effort. I also am liking shorts and bra tops for this season, I think they’d be great not only for the gym but for road trips and flights! You can easily layer them with jean jackets like I did above or throw on a big sweatshirt if that’s more your style. Either way it’s chic and pretty easy!
