Mid March Outfit Ideas
What I Wore in Mid March
We are back with another outfit of the week post! I love ending my week with outfit ideas, it’s been so fun to document what I wear everyday and push myself to experiment with my wardrobe. Now, this past week was quite fun with a few trips to Seattle and several chill work from home days. If you’re curious as to what I wore, just keep reading!
Fully Neutral Outfit
Our first look is a little experimental for me but I honestly love it! I went up to Seattle that day to see an old friend and wanted to be cute yet comfortable. These pants I purchased awhile back from Urban Outfitters and they are SO comfortable! Definitely be sure to size up for extra roominess but they are honestly a vibe. To maintain the casual vibe, I added a simple white tee and a loose tan shacket. While the colors don’t exactly match, they are all part of the same tonal family so the outfit works nonetheless.
Comfortable Errands Outfit
I wore this outfit to run errands the other day and I was felt so cute and comfortable. This shacket in particular, a Free People find, is one of my favorite purchases of the last year. It’s super soft and comfortable and layers quite well over a variety of outfits. To stay rather trendy, I added some fun distressed mom jeans and my favorite sandals. As spring rapidly arrives, remember to have fun with texture and never be afraid to add a statement piece to an outfit!
Saint Patrick’s Day Outfit
To avoid a pinch, I wore this comfy green shacket on St Patricks Day. It’s perfectly oversized and went well with my favorite mom jeans and sandals. Since the weather is slowly picking up in my area, I thought it would be fun to add my favorite platform sandals of the last few years. I’ve had this pair going on 3 years now and they are as comfortable today as they were the first summer I wore them.
Athleisure Outfit
For the weekend portion of my week, I went with good ol’ athleisure. Since I was running errands and working I went with something nice and comfortable. These joggers from Lululemon in particular are so comfortable and while they are not skin tight, they are still rather fitted to the body and look great with oversized jackets and accessories. When doing athleisure, always try and aim for a sneaker and casual elements like a denim jacket or a soft top. This is what keeps the look from solely gym ready!
Bar Babe
For a night out with your friends, try a denim and bodysuit combination! I’ve worn an iteration of this look since college and have absolutely loved it. Now that I’m an adult, I went with a simple ribbed bodysuit with ultra distressed jeans and some statement booties. With the weird transitional weather, I am trying to play with both winter and spring elements. For the upcoming season, I went with really distressed jeans but I stayed warm with a bodysuit and boots. Sometimes you just need to get creative!
Drag Show Realness
Our final outfit this week was my look for the Trixie and Katya show in Seattle! It was my first time meeting major celebrities and it was SO FUN! To the show itself, I wanted to pay homage to the road trip films the show was based on so I went with some country inspired booties and a western belt. I also wore some fun dad jeans and a cropped western belt to finish off the look. The boots in particular were a winner and I felt adorable the whole evening!
Have a Great Week
I hope these outfits inspire you next week! Whether you are headed to the theater or you just needed some casual inspiration, I hope this post helped out. I adore creating fun outfits for you and I have some great ideas to share with you next week!
Until next time,
Lauren
