Mid May Outfit Ideas

Mid May Outfits of the Week

Pin Me

This past week, I wore a lot of casual outfits and began a series on TikTok where I break down my outfits and style myself for the camera. It’s been so fun sharing my midsize outfit ideas each day on the platform and styling a variety of budget friendly pieces. I’m also trying to share and repurpose garments on my page to remind my audience of versatility. For a deeper look into my personal style, keep reading below!

Casual Free People Shacket Styling

One fashion trend I still reach for time and again are shackets! I got the Ruby Shacket from Free People last spring and I have worn it several times a month since. I love how cozy yet structured the piece is, you can really wear it any which way. This time around I wore it with black jeans and my new favorite sandals from Target. Since the outfit was fairly simple, I was also able to add a pop of color with my pink Amazon bag and I was good to go!

Casual Coffee Shop Outfit

Since I work from home now, I try to go out to local coffee shops a few times a week to get a change of scenery. On this day, I went to Olympia Coffee Roasters and wore a super simple outfit featuring my new bum bag from Amazon. The key to this outfit is the basic outfit itself. I went with a racerback tank, slim straight jeans and the same black sandals from the day before. When you have simple accessories and wardrobe staples, it’s easy to then take those garments and jazz them up with accessories and jewelry. I think its adds personality and makes fashion unique to the person wearing the look!

Light Neutral Outfit

For this look, I went with some baggier basics paired with a few of my favorite designer inspired pieces from Amazon. To start, I did a big boxy tee from H&M worn on top of super loose boyfriend jeans. I love the denim in particular because they’re so oversized and relaxed while remaining cool with the giant rips. For a bit of spice, I finished the look with Tory Burch inspired sandals that are incredibly comfortable and the same bum bag from before. I don’t believe there is anything wrong with saving some money while getting that luxurious look of designer!

Denim on Denim for a Night Out

On Friday night, I went out with my sister and friends from high school and was so excited to dress up a bit! I wore my favorite corset top and jazzed it up with denim on denim. While some may judge the Canadian tuxedo, I think it’s a fun way to wear your favorite wardrobe staples. Right now, I’m liking similar shades of denim together just to provide some cohesion. The reason why this outfit works is the denim is similar yet different enough with the distressing on top. Mixing and matching will always be in and when going out especially, it’s even more fun!

Farmers Market Fashion

Our final outfit of the week was my simple outfit for the farmers market! I went with my family and once again layered some oversized favorites. I think this outfit in particular works because we have coordination in the white tank and sneakers, plus the oversized shacket and denim. To tie everything in, I once again added my new favorite Amazon bag and I think I look practical for walking around while still expressing my personal style.

Happy Styling
