Early May Outfit Ideas

Early May 2022 Outfits of the Week

Another week has come and gone and I got to wear a very wide variety of outfits! From athleisure favorites to college graduation outfits, we really did the most these last 7 days. As we continue through spring and the month of May, anything really goes. Expect an eclectic mix of outfits and keep reading to see what I wore this week!

Monochrome Monday

I hate being grim on my page but I did begin the week at a family friends funeral. It was a fairly casual affair so I wore a simple all black look. If you unfortunately have a memorial to go to, I recommend lighter black layers like a simple jean and cardigan. To complete the look, add a black purse and you are good to go. I know funerals can be so difficult to dress for so give yourself grace and remember less is more in these situations.

Blousy Babe

As the week wore on, I went out to dinner with an old friend and we went to an oyster restaurant! Since it was a nicer establishment, I wore a new petal and pup blouse and some simple jeans. When wearing a nicer white top to dinner, try to stick to light neutral accessories. Nudes will always be in and they add just the right amount of something to a night out look.

Everyday Athleisure

The day after my dinner I had a chill girls day and wore my favorite pieces from Lululemon. I absolutely love their align line, it feels like butter and is easy for working from the couch. In these pieces, do size down so they don’t budge. I also like to keep accessories simple for outfits like this, I just wore my go-to jean jacket and a fun white baseball cap!

Graduated Girls

On Saturday, I wore a simple neutral outfit for my sisters graduation. Unfortunately the weather was unpredictable all day so it was optimal for me to wear jeans. Honestly while skinny jeans are going out of style, they are still a great semi formal option and look great with this simple tank from amazon. I just recommend topping the outfit with a lightweight trench and a simple sandal.

Road-trip Comfort

To end the week, I wore another athleisure look but this was more for moving my sister out and sitting in a car. I went with my favorite leggings again but styled the top with a simple zip up. One trend I’m enjoying this year is waffle knits. It’s rather comfortable and adds a nice texture!

Have a great week

I hope you enjoyed these outfit ideas! Each week I try to create fun outfits depending on what I have going on. Oftentimes I lean for comfort but I am always experimenting and testing out different pieces. For more outfits of the week, be sure to subscribe to my newsletter below.
