Size Inclusive Special Occasion Dresses
With wedding season upon us, it’s time to try out some dresses for special events! I don’t know what it is about fancy dresses but they truly make my day. All of these dresses below are lined and long enough to cover the rear, even if you’re a little thick like I am! I’m so excited to wear them throughout the summer and I hope you look forward to wearing them too.
Pink Mini Dress
Our first dress is a fun cottage core inspired piece. I love this shade of pink for summer, it’s so ladylike and it ties in nicely with the design of the dress. It’s also double lined making it perfect for any occasion. Plus, the sleeves can come off the shoulder to create a more romantic silhouette. I personally wore this piece to my blog birthday and felt absolutely beautiful!
White Mini Dress
Our next size and budget friendly find is this beautiful tie back dress. I think the white is darling for summer and I like the bow detail in the back. It’s also lined like the other dress and hits nicely above the knee. I actually wore this dress for an afternoon out and felt gorgeous in it!
Pro tip: for a dress like this, be sure to wear a sticky bra underneath. They are super comfortable and eliminate any straps or unsightly bras with the knot in the back. Get my favorite one here!
Blue Mini Dress
Okay this piece reminds me of Cinderella and I absolutely love it! Its so flowy and dreamy and while the drawstrings don’t actually do anything, they are a fun addition to the front of the dress. Like the other dresses, this one is lined and also looks great with the sleeves on or off the shoulder. I personally am planning to wear this to a wedding later this year and I think it’s going to be perfect.
Floral Mini Dress
Our final dress is this fun floral mini from Amazon as well. I like the smocked detail at the end of the sleeves, it really elevates the piece and maintains the volume. It’s once again a lined piece and hits above the knee. While I’m not typically a print kind of gal, I do like the floral in this dress and can see this piece being perfect for a nice brunch or other special occasion.
