Midsize Outfits of the Week for Mid June

This week was supposed to be a super special week for me, my best friend got engaged! But alas, I got covid the day of the proposal so my fancier outfits were a no-go. However I still had some things to do before the diagnosis so here are a few casual outfit ideas from this past week. Whether you too are headed to grocery stores or you are wondering how to style band tees, this post is for you.

Black Tank and Boyfriend Jeans

To kick off the week, I wore something fairly casual for the grocery store. Started off with my favorite Amazon tank, a soft black piece with a high neck! It’s super comfortable and layers nicely with just about anything. With it I wore my favorite boyfriend jeans and a pair of simple black sandals. The real star of this look was the denim and my favorite belt bag to complete the outfit.

Oversized Band Tee Style

On Wednesday, I toured the location where my friends engagement took place and wanted to wear something that was easy to walk in a park in, yet still cute enough to feel like myself. I personally went with one of my favorite Urban Outfitters band tees styled with straight leg jeans and sneakers. The key to this outfit was the white shoes, they were comfortable yet pulled out the light colors of the top. Honestly one of my favorite casual combos!

Work from Home Athleisure

As the week continued, I wore a simple tank and leggings to work from home. I personally have loved this new tank from Free People, its technically an activewear piece but the ribbed material I think is casual enough to wear on a day to day basis. To keep the outfit rather simplistic, I added my favorite align leggings from Lululemon and called it a day. If I were going somewhere, I would have added sandals or sneakers and a crossbody bag. Outfits like this are so easy to accessorize and make your own!

Ribbed Skirt and Tee

To round out the week, I went to lunch with my dad and wore the comfiest skirt from last year styled with a giant graphic tee. I love knit skirts on days when you don’t want to wear pants, I think they are so practical yet elevated. To bring down the look, I added a giant graphic tee on top that I “cropped” by knotting the bottom and tucking it under itself. The key to this fashion trick is to use a clear elastic. It protects the fabric and blends into the top more so than a colored tie. Finally I added my favorite sandals and called it good!

Have a Great Week

As I continue to quarantine at home, I will bring you some fun lounge inspired outfits to bolster both my spirits and yours. Although I am not dressing to the nines at the moment, I still love fashion and expressing myself through my outfits. For more outfit inspiration, be sure to follow me on Tiktok and Instagram where I share what I’m wearing each day. It’s my favorite part of my morning routine and I hope you enjoy the looks too.

Until next time,

Lauren
