I swear May has flown right on by! We are already two weeks in, and three weeks into my outfit round ups! I’m so glad you are enjoying these posts, I find them to be incredibly fun to make. I’ve always enjoyed fashion and styling so it’s been fun getting more intentional with my outfits and actually explaining what I wear and why! So if you are interested in my day to day style, keep reading!!
Monday Outfit 05/10
I think one of the best parts to this series is its combination of curated images and spontaneous ones! This was a curated photo for a brand deal actually! Be sure to visit the Blogging section of my site for further information on the marketing side of influencer marketing, but I made sure to take these ahead of time so they were ready for the blog and Instagram posts.
As to the outfit itself, I wanted to share some fun ways to style sneakers! I love dressing up casual pieces and I think I did just that with this look. I went with my favorite printed mini skirt and a cropped, color sweatshirt to create balance and contrast. The most visually interesting looks have elements that don’t necessarily make sense but there is still a cohesion from colors or cuts. In this case, I think the two boxy elements work well and the orange is picked up in the skirt! Thats a winner if you ask me!!
Tuesday Outfit 05/11
This post was so successful I’m still pinching myself! You fell in love with this crossbody and I sold more of them than I had anything else in a long time! So a huge thank you to anyone who shopped this bag. Now to these actual shorts, I just love them! I think they are so comfortable and this outfit was actually worn on a lovely picnic near my house. The weather has been great in my hometown so I’ve made sure to take advantage while I can. I also just wanted to elevate some lounge shorts. I sometimes get too casual with my lounge looks but sweat shorts can be quite versatile and I wanted to showcase that aspect. With a jean jacket and your favorite bag, you’ll be set for any afternoon adventure!
Thursday Outfit 05/13
As a content creator, there is a lot of adaptability that goes into the job. I oftentimes create fun content ideas in my mind but due to weather or scheduling conflicts, I have to change how the shoot is to occur. Thus, I end up creating pictures that are far different from what I initially intended! This photo is one of those instances. Instead of shooting by a lake like I initially planned, I adapted the shoot to work for my local park. I went with jeans and a blouse and created something a bit more patriotic and it honestly worked out well! I love how a more casual outfit paired with this big tote bag. With a little bit of creativity, any photograph is possible!
Friday Outfit 05/14
For Friday, I wanted to wear something activewear inspired since I was going on a nature walk in the evening! The walk was so fun and I loved wearing this easy outfit. Come summertime, you can always spot me in my biker shorts and a tee or tank. These bottoms are incredibly comfortable and pair well with so many pieces. The key to a truly successful shorts outfit is to of course wear a bigger top. This will create balance in the outfit and instantly make you look put together even if you are wearing loungewear!
Sunday Outfit 05/16
To end the week (and the fifth day of wearing the same sunglasses 😂), I have a sportier look! I just love this workout set from Pink Lily, it’s incredibly soft and comfortable and didn’t move on my walk last week! With summer almost here, I wanted something punchy and this set does just that. I also appreciate it’s inexpensive price point and the cross detail at the front. It makes me want to buy more colors!
