Outfit Round up for the Start of May

Early May Outfits of the Week

I can’t believe we are already on our second week of outfits! I am obsessed with some of the looks I put together this particular week. From Star Wars day to swimwear, this week has had a ton of cute outfits. Keep reading to see what I wore!

Hat; Dress; Bag (similar); Sandals

To kick off the week, I shared a new dress of mine from the online boutique Luca and Grae! While the quality of the picture is not amazing (it’s so hard to shoot sometimes at Topgolf!), I did love the outfit as a whole. One of my new favorite ways to style decent dresses is to make them quite casual with sneakers and active accessories. I genuinely think accessories make an outfit and provide a certain personality that the clothing just cannot.

Tuesday Outfit 05/04

May the fourth be with you! I totally forgot it was Star Wars day until my work group chat mentioned it. Fortunately, I had my baby yoda tee to wear and I dressed it up with a black midi skirt. Some of my favorite outfits come from a mix of dressy and casual pieces. Another great tip for a visually interesting outfit is to have one oversized garment and one fitted one. The opposites end up complimenting one another and create a unique look! At the end of the day it’s really all about balance.

Thursday Outfit 05/06

This is one of my favorite looks this week! I have loved this mini dress from Pink Lily, the quality is fabulous and I really am liking the pink color. While of course you could dress it up with a pair of block heels and a cropped denim jacket, I liked the thought of the dress with sneakers for something casual. I also love adding flannels to dresses like this, it cinches in the waist and adds visual interest to an otherwise simple outfit. Also, bonus points for comfortable sneakers and a baseball cap!

Friday Outfit 05/07

This was the last of my Vegas pictures! I just loved my new bikini from Abercrombie, the quality is amazing and I felt so confident living my life. My only qualm was the top; it was a little difficult to get it on just right but the overall minimal design was too cute to pass up. It also went perfectly with the 90s bottom. If you are on the curvier side, this may be a fun option to try!

Saturday Outfit 05/08

For my third midi dress, I had to share my other new Abercrombie find! I’m obsessed with this mint green color and once again the quality. I wore this piece out to dinner with my mom, her best friend, and her daughter (my oldest friend!). I absolutely loved that evening, from the wine flights to the silly stories. We were there at the restaurant for nearly 4 hours just catching up and having the best ladies night. I appreciate those moments so much as the generations collide and our moms were celebrated. If you ever have the chance to do something similar, I highly recommend!

Have a Great Week

I hope these outfits inspired you in some way! Each day I try to wear something fun and different depending on what I have going on. From casual outfits to swimwear, I hope these looks helped you! I’m super excited to keep this series going, so stay tuned for what’s to come!!

Best,

Lauren
