Outfit Round Up for the End of April

End of April Outfits

This week, I wanted to start something new here on my blog! Full disclosure, I typically shoot my outfits once or twice a week and just upload the looks but I have so many garments at this point I want to share what I really wear each day! This will be a combination of real life outfits alongside social media outfits, this way you get the best of both worlds. So, I’ve decided to do weekly round ups here on the blog for anyone interested in outfit inspiration and a closer look into my life. If you’re interested, keep reading!

Tuesday Outfit 04/27

Sunnies (similar); Top; Bottom; Purse

Sunnies (similar); Top; Bottom; Purse

This swimsuit I actually wore back in Vegas a few days prior but I think it’s a great place to start! For social media, I decided to do a body positivity related post because I’m not huge on wearing swimsuits out in public. I have hip dips and prefer to be covered up most days.

When in Vegas though, I did wear a bikini and instead of posing in a way that made me look super slender and unlike myself, I decided to share a more relaxed look of myself showing my rolls and insecurities. It was a little intimidating to say the least but I’m glad I was vulnerable and shared what I actually look like!

As to the actual bikini, I love this Fantasie option! The top is made like an actual bra so if you are bigger chested, there is a comfortable option for you. I also appreciate how high the bottoms go on your stomach, I felt very comfortable as I ate and drank plus I still felt confident!

Wednesday Outfit 04/28

Sweater; Jeans (similar); Sneakers

Sweater; Jeans (similar); Sneakers

This outfit was for a last minute wine night with my oldest friend which was much needed! As much as I like dressing up for work, there are restrictions to what I can actually wear and I don’t enjoy it 😂 For this evening however, I wanted to wear something warm for outdoor seating that was still stylish for the establishment.

Enter this sweater and jean combo! I love the easy street tunic sweater from Free People, it’s genuinely perfect all year round and the oversized fit is so flattering. To make it a bit more casual, I went with these ultra distressed jeans in a kick flare cut to add in some modernity. For a final touch, I went with a pink sneaker and felt so cute and confident. You really can’t go wrong with distressed jeans and a nice sweater!

Friday Outfit 04/30

Ah yes, another Vegas outfit! The last Friday night we wore mini dresses out to the casino and I felt like a million bucks! When one is to go out, I recommend going with an inexpensive dress that you won’t mind getting messed up. I have had many a garments get trashed in Vegas over the years so spending a ton of money just is illogical.

Furthermore, I want to touch on this blue dress in particular. I got it from Shein which I personally do not support anymore. You see, they’ve been ripping off a ton of small designers, sharing culturally insensitive pieces (like anti-Semitic icons) and are extremely cheap/poorly made. I would much rather put my money toward Amazon or somewhere of the like because at least the quality is marginally better!

Saturday Outfit 05/01

This outfit was a straight up work outfit and I just love it! I got this adorable jacket on Thursday and have worn it nonstop since. Its so soft and looks great worn or tied around your waist. With spring and summer here, it’s best to get lighter layering pieces, especially if you spend a lots of time indoors in air conditioning.

To style it in a trendy way, I went with my classic mom jeans and a boxy tee. I also added a platform sandal that didn’t necessarily go but still tied the outfit together. Remember, neutrals will always look great together, no matter the adventure!

Sunday Outfit 05/02

This outfit was to go up last Sunday but our flight back to Seattle was less than perfect. Thus, I decided to share my travel style this week and love the pop of orange. Whether you are on a plane or in a car, the key to a great travel look is comfort. Lately I’ve loved cropped sweatshirts like this one, a black legging, a chunky sneaker and if need be, a denim jacket.

Another great hack is to wear your heavier clothing for travel to save on space in your suitcase. Hence wearing the clunkier shoes and keeping lightweight pieces in your luggage. Speaking of, I also want to make an honorable mention for this Dagne Dover bag. It’s the perfect item for any type of trip. I love it on planes because it fits perfectly under a seat, but it’s also fantastic in the car for snacks and tech. However you use it, you’ll be obsessed!

Happy Shopping

I hope these outfits provided some extra explanation and inspiration! One of my biggest passions is styling clothing and allowing for my looks to speak for themselves. Whether you need something casual for a day out for a dressy option for girls night, I have you covered! Now, come back next week to see what I wear. I have a lot of fun stuff coming up and you may get some Instagram sneak peeks!

Best,

Lauren
