Why I Chose Smile Brilliant

My Journey With Teeth Whiteners

Now, I have had yellow-ish teeth since I was around 15. From high school to now, I have spent most mornings drinking coffee. Although I love the energy boost to get me through my day, I was not enjoying my yellowing teeth. My teeth were so bad that I was starting to use FaceTune to brighten my smile 🙈 I know, not a cute look. At the time, I would use a whitening toothpaste but nothing more. I never thought to invest in my smile because it seemed like an unnecessary expense. Boy was I wrong! Just see how my teeth looked initially 😱

How to Start with Smile Brilliant

Initially, I was hesitant to partner with Smile Brilliant. They were my first collaboration and I couldn’t believe I was considered to work with a brand! Regardless, they came at the perfect time because I was starting to invest more time into my blog, and I was so excited to share content with the world. To start, you get to choose the sensitive or non-sensitive whitening option. I personally went with sensitive because I have experienced sensitivity in the past! From there, Smile Brilliant sends you a box seen above with everything you need! In your kit, you will receive the products to make your teeth casts. I videotaped the entire process here which goes in depth about the steps! Once you make your molds, you send them to Smile Brilliant where they create your special trays. I was so excited to receive my custom trays; this meant the real fun was about to begin!

After I added the gel, I placed the trays in my mouth and went into my room to work on homework and blog related content. I know at school I tend to do homework at night and whitening while I worked seemed to be the perfect solution! I loved how easily the trays fit into my nighttime routine, they were never uncomfortable, nor did they burn.

Once you leave the trays on for 45 minutes to 3 hours, take the trays off and brush your teeth with a non-whitening toothpaste. I like Colgate personally! After you have brushed, rinse off your trays and apply the desensitizing gel. I rather enjoyed this product; it was somewhat sweet and kept your teeth safe in the long term. Again, leave the product on for 20 minutes and just spit to remove the product from your mouth. Then, you can go to bed! From there, repeat the process every night for 7-14 days and do it in a row!! This is how you achieve the best results.

When I first started the whitening process, I was a bit nervous. I had never used a product like the Smile Brilliant trays, and I wasn’t sure if they were working. Fortunately, I was scheduled for a dentist appointment and I asked for his opinion. He said to follow the directions as they come because the gel is powerful! He also said to be consistent with the process and avoid products that stain like coffee or red wine. I may have had coffee during my staining process, but I used a straw to decrease my chance of staining my teeth again!
