Visiting the Pumpkin Patch
Each year, over the first weekend of October, Gonzaga University hosts a Fall Family weekend. This event hosts dinners, activities, and gives parents a chance to hang out with us!! Since it’s my senior year, I wanted to end on a high note.
We kicked off the weekend with a little shopping adventure, I found a ton of cute things from Nordstrom, LuluLemon, and Nike (comment down below if you want a haul!). I was very much in the market for some workout clothes and knits, so a shopping trip was much needed! After our shop, my sister came into town and we went out to dinner. Someone (me) forgot to actually make reservations, so we ended up calling PF Chang’s and got a spot!
After dinner, everyone went to bed and rested for the pumpkin patch the next day! I was so excited to have a real fall. I missed pumpkins, donuts, and cute farm animals!! In Spokane, there are several farms outside of the city that sell pumpkins, apples, and cute decor. We made our way to the biggest farm, as well as an old favorite of mine. Keep reading to see my itinerary!
If you live in the Spokane area, I HIGHLY recommend visiting Green Bluff! I’ve been visiting twice a season since my freshman year and I’ve picked up some tricks. First, ALWAYS get a picture with the pumpkins. This picture was taken at Siemers, my personal favorite! I love the one above, it’s so autumnal and I enjoy getting lost in all the pumpkins! Once you get the gourd-ous pumpkin pics, visit the apple orchards, even if you’re only there for the photos…
After you get your pictures, head on over to High Country Orchards and grab some donuts 🤤 The line at Siemers can get rather long, but a pumpkin donut is a MUST! Bonus points if you also get apple cider. Once you have your snacks, make sure to walk around and visit the goats, shopping area, and little trees!
Finally, on the way out of the farms, stop and take a picture with the cute pickup truck!! I loved the vintage and country vibes 💕
If you ever make your way to Greenbluff, make sure to section out a ton of time!! I loved exploring and seeing what the farms had to offer. Stay tuned for more fall content next week!!!
XOXO,
Lauren
