48 Hours in Las Vegas
48 Hours in Vegas Travel Guide
It’s Vegas baby! I just got back from my fourth annual Las Vegas trip and boy was this one for the books! From leisurely mornings in the pool to incredible dining experiences, Las Vegas is one city you can’t miss. Although I was there for a short time, we packed a lot into our itinerary! Keep reading to see my top picks!!
Drinks at Chandelier Bar in the Cosmopolitan
This had to have been one of my top experiences ever. On our first night (a good hour after landing!), we made our way to the cosmopolitan for a drink at the chandelier bar. I forgot who told me about this, but they have a drink that changes your taste buds! Just eat the flower it came with and your tongue becomes almost fuzzy. It was super fun and unique, perfect for kicking off your trip. While you’re there, also be sure to wander around the hotel because the cosmopolitan is my fave! They have a lovely Alice in wonderland whimsy and I’ve taken a million pictures there over the years. When it’s open, the Marquee day club is also a blast! Overall a Lauren must-see!
Lazy River at MGM Grand
If you like to travel for leisure, be sure to stay at the MGM grand! The hotel is huge and stunning. Their best feature by far though is the pool. We went both days and laid in the lazy river. Be sure to bring floating rings from Amazon or Walmart to maximize your relaxation. While we were there, we even made some friends and had rather strong cocktails. Overall a great experience!
Giant Martinis at I Love Sugar
For my fellow alcoholics, you must try the giant candy martinis at I Love Sugar! Located centrally at the linq promenade, this bar was incredibly fun. From the Instagram worthy drinks to the fun staff, we had the best time. Social media was pretty obsessed too 😂
Dinner at Trattoria Reggiano
For supper on our first full night, we went out to Trattoria Reggiano and had the best food!! I had some baked pasta and some of the best cannoli I’d had in awhile. There is nothing more comforting to me than an Italian meal and if you’re going out later in the evening, the carbs are great for drinking 😉 Plus the staff overall were super nice and the prices weren’t too bad!
Go Out to Fremont
Located in old Vegas, this are is super fun! Pretend Amanda and I are dressed at the location but we somehow ended up crashing a bachelor party and went out with our new friends. When in Vegas, be prepared for anything because you never know who you’ll meet! The nicest part of Fremont too was the abundance of casinos. Since clubs are currently at low capacity, this was a great way to have nightlife while staying safe.
Golf at Topgolf
Finally you must visit top golf while you’re in Vegas! This year we tried their food as well as cocktails and their Mac and cheese bites are to die for. I also just love the competitive nature of topgolf, I finally won this year! Pro tip, go to a driving range beforehand to really shine.
Safe Travels
I hope this guide helps your next trip to Vegas! I see so many of you heading down there and I hope this guide helps you prepare for the adventure. Remember in Vegas to always have fun and keep yourself open to anything. You never know what memory you will end up with next!
Best,
Lauren
