A Foodies Best Places to Eat in Portland, OR
This past week I was lucky enough to take a day trip to Portland and you already know I ate my way through the trip. There were so many delicious restaurants in the city and I was lucky enough to have a complementary dinner at Urban Fondue! If you enjoy eating your way through trips just like I do, Portland OR is a must see. From food trucks to unique local eateries, you won’t want to skip out on this city.
La Provence Vancouver
The first stop on our food tour was La Provence in Vancouver WA (there are locations in Portland too!). We caught up with an old friend and before we even sat for brunch we grabbed treats at their pastry section. I grabbed a dark chocolate layered mousse that was absolutely divine. After the dessert, we were seated and I had risotto cakes with hashbrowns and a flaky croissant.
Now, my main meal was overall delicious. I loved how crisp the risotto cakes were and the potatoes were cooked to perfection. Oh, and the croissant was incredible and had the best raspberry jam to dip or spread over top! The only downfall was an eggshell under my poached egg, it was a bit jarring to have that crunch but the staff was incredibly kind and fixed the problem easily and promptly.

Tea Bar
Our next stop was Tea Bar in eastern Portland. I loved how clean and minimal the shop was, its a neutral lovers dream! They had so many great boba choices too, I personally went with the Thai iced tea option and it was divine. They also had more creative flavors if you’re adventurous but I went with something safe. By the way, they also added a lot of bubbles to the tea so you really got tapioca in each sip!

Hinterland Food Trucks
For my vegans or vegetarian followers, I didn’t forget about you! I stopped at La Taquiza Vegana in the Hinterland food trucks and was pleasantly surprised by my tacos! As a meat eater and cheese addict, I was rather thrilled with my al pastor option. For actual vegetarians and vegans, I think you’ll appreciate it even more because everything was hearty and flavorful!

Urban Fondue
Our final food destination was one we had already tried before, Urban Fondue! Located in Nob Hill, this fondue restaurant is the heart of Portland eateries. I absolutely love their 3 course option, you get a cheese fondue to start, your choice of protein, and of course a chocolate fondue to end the night. I personally added a glass of Brut champaign to my meal and opted for a caprese fondue with seafood and raspberry chocolate. It was the perfect way to end our food adventure and I left feeling full and satisfied!
