Casual Everyday Outfits for Early Spring

Mid March Outfit Ideas

This week was so busy for me and it genuinely felt like the start of a new chapter in my life as crazy as that sounds. It’s certainly been a week that has been a bit transformative and led to a whole host of outfits. From ultra casual to some business casual outfits, I have you covered for a whole host of situations. To see what I wore this past week, keep on reading!

Cozy Workout Outfit

I am going to level with you, I did not wear this outfit to workout in but it would work well for a trip to the gym. Instead I wore this to work from home, it was very comfortable and cozy for a chill day in. To start, I have these awesome running shorts from Abercrombie. The high waist is quite comfortable and since they are lined, you don’t have to worry about your cheeks popping out. I then paired them with my favorite hoodie for added comfort. Oversized hoodies like this one are great with little shorts, it’s a very casual vibe and when slightly tucked into a high waisted bottom like these, you can get a bit of an hourglass figure without being too form fitted.

Pro tip: if your love life goes to the toilet like mine did that day, this is a great outfit for mourning as well. I was incredibly comfortable and it worked well when lying on the couch grieving all afternoon and evening.

Edgy Workwear

We need to preface the fact that I am self employed as a fashion blogger so my version of work attire is quite different from the average person! Nonetheless, I had a meeting with a new partner so I went with my favorite leather pants and a punchy green bodysuit. I find if you go for a straight leg leather pant, you can wear them in a whole host of fashion situations. I also am liking the green for St Patricks Day!

Alongside the base of this outfit I added some sneakers and my favorite denim jacket. These wardrobe staples would be just as good for going out to a bar or to get brunch with friends. The key to this entire outfit is the big proportions styled with fitted unique basics. It makes for an unforgettable outfit!

Business Casual Outfit

If you are headed to work, I recommend wearing this neutral business casual outfit. I love these wide leg pants with a plain black tee and tan coat. This outfit works because the pants are huge yet tucked in to a simple tee shirt. If you office is fancier, I recommend wearing a nice button down or a satin tank. You could also substitute something white if that is more your style. Since I was headed to a luncheon, I was able to get away with something more simplistic and completed the outfit with my favorite snake print booties. I wear these all the time and while they may not be the most fashion forward, they are perfect under wide pants because they have a pointed toe and elongate the leg!

Updated Millennial Outfit

If you are a fellow millennial or zillenial, you may be familiar with graphic tees tied in the back with yoga pants. I wore a version of this outfit in middle school and it still translates pretty well for adults. The key this time around is to pair a very oversized graphic tee (preferably one with alcohol logos) with a plain black yoga pant. I also recommend short Uggs instead of something taller on the bottom. This outfit still works a decade out because you are playing with proportions and creating an hourglass with oversized sleeves and the wide legs.

Going Out Outfit

To end the week we have a simple bar outfit idea. I went to dinner and drinks with my family over the weekend and wanted to be cool yet casual. This meant my simple white corset inspired tank paired with 90s jeans and a big moto jacket. I love the oversized motorcycle jacket trend, I think it’s easy to style a bunch of different ways and it’s an easy way to look ready for bars without looking like you are in college. I’ve noticed myself struggling with outerwear at night over the weekends because I live in a college town. The key I’m noticing is hip length jackets that still keep you warm!

Have a fashionable week

I hope these outfits inspire your future plans! I love coming up with a whole host of outfit ideas whether it’s to dress up for a business meeting or go casual for an afternoon working from home.
