Casual Fall Outfit Ideas | October 2022

Warm Weather Friendly Fall Outfits of the Week

I can’t believe we are halfway through the month, it’s been so warm in my city that it’s essentially summer in my mind still. With that in mind, my October outfits have been a bit different than normal. Not to worry though, I am still having fun with my wardrobe and experimenting with cold weather staples in conjunction with warm weather basics. To see how I’m dressing, keep reading!

Business Casual Babe

To kick off the week I started with a fashionista-inspired business casual look. I had a meeting with a local boutique so I wanted to wear something more professional yet true to my style. I ended up going with my new oversized blazer from Target paired with cowboy boots and a leather skirt. I felt like such a cool girl in the look and it was surprisingly comfortable for a midsize body. If you recreate this outfit, just be sure to stick with black and white basics!

Wide Leg Pants Outfit

The following day I was going to happy hour with another creator so I wore my cowboy jeans with a bodysuit and some sneakers. These pants are a bit mid rise on me which is definitely out of my comfort zone but they are incredibly comfortable and go great with your favorite sneaker.

Pro tip: style your lower rise wide leg jeans with bodysuits if you aren’t quite comfortable with showing your belly. You can still play around with the trend you just don’t have to worry about things hanging out if you don’t want them to!

Work Appropriate All Black Outfit

By hump day I found myself in a few meetings and networking events for my business. I decided to wear another black ensemble featuring one of my favorite wardrobe staples a black knit skirt. They are so comfortable but they always look put together, especially when styled with a simple tank. I also added a giant denim jacket to complete the look. If you work in a more corporate setting, try this fit with a blazer. You will get the same sort of vibe while looking a lot more polished.

Cargo Pants Princess

Once the weekend rolled around, it was time to wear my beloved cargo pants. I got these earlier this summer and they have quickly become my go-to bottoms. If you’re a bit curvy I recommend sizing up for extra room and styling them with a fitted top. Also if you want to be a total military inspired girl, add some combat boots. It takes the whole look up a notch and I am completely obsessed.

Elton John Concert Outfit

Our final outfit of the week is a special one, it’s my Elton John concert look! I got this tee months ago when I realized it said “Elton John, Sunday in October”. My concert was literally a Sunday in October it was a MUST! To highlight the silver details in the top, I added my beloved disco platform heels from Steve Madden and I topped the look off with black flare jeans and heart sunglasses. If you end up going to the concert I recommend wearing sequins or finding a similar top. It was such a vibe and looking around at everyones outfits was just icing on the cake of a perfect night!

Have a Great Week

I hope these outfits inspired your upcoming week and festivities! I am always striving to have fun with fashion and while I wish I was wearing knitwear at the moment, it’s been a nice change of pace getting sunshine and heat so late into the year. Hopefully soon though it starts to cool off a bit and we can truly get into the fall fashions. Until then though, I will do the best I can with the pieces I already have.

Until next time,

Lauren
