Fall Heatwave Outfit Ideas | October 2022
Warm Weather in Fall Outfits of the Week
This week has officially been my first full week in Spokane and I had an absolute blast! From hikes with my friends to an art event, I was definitely busy. I also made time to play around with my personal style and push my own fashion boundaries depending on the activity. If you are also a city dweller, I hope these outfits inspire you to be stylish where you are. An as always, these are midsize friendly outfits for my slim thick ladies!
Band Tee Babe
To kick off the week I went to a local boba spot and wore a classic Lauren outfit, leggings and an oversized graphic tee. I personally love outfits like this, they are so comfortable and perfect for the fall. Granted this outfit was a tad warm for the weather outside but you can easily substitute biker shorts in temperatures are high in your area.
Pro tip, get some sneakers in a similar color palette to your tees. I love styling these orange sneakers with brown and warm toned tops. Its cohesive without being matchy-matchy, there is nothing better in an outfit!
Shopping Day Style
The next day I spent out shopping so I wore some wide leg jeans with my potato clogs. I absolutely love these shoes for fall, especially on warmer days. If it’s chillier where you live, feel free to add socks to your shoes for added warmth. I personally like them on their own with a pair of cropped denim. You can even get crazy and add an anklet if you really want to lock down the outfit!
First Date Fit
Later in the week I went on my first coffee date in ages if ever!! While it was certainly not a match, I absolutely loved what I wore. I went with my favorite Amazon dress and a pair of high top Converse sneakers. You could always style a dress like this with some low tops but I’m a sucker for the classics.
Pro tip, when getting dressed for a date, have fun with your style but don’t try too hard. You want your personality to really shine and the outfit should make you confident and enhance your natural self. Also wear something comfortable to you, having to adjust what you’re wearing makes for an awkward meeting!
Art Show Outfit
Once the weekend arrived, I wore my finest art opening outfit. I went with a psychedelic graphic that to me is a nod to the art deco era and styled it with leather shorts and black cowboy boots. In hindsight I should have gone with a breezy dress because it was hot in the art building but the outfit felt so cool and I swear I was a main character in that moment. If you live somewhere cooler, take that same outfit and add a big denim jacket and tights. You’ll thank me later!
Hiking Outfit Idea
Finally, to end the weekend, I wore a matching black tank and a pair of joggers from Lululemon on a hike. I added a sherpa jacket from Free People that was honestly too hot and some lightweight sneakers which were just right for all the moving we did. If you ever need high quality activewear that you will reach for time and again, I invite you to try the align line at Lululemon. Every piece is buttery soft and I’ve been slowly adding to the collection over the last few years!
Have a Great Week
I hope these outfits inspire your upcoming adventures! Whether you are off to unique events like my art gallery or your just looking for outfit ideas for fall 2022, these weekly outfit posts are here to help. Remember, everything is midsize friendly and is oftentimes budget friendly too. While I do enjoy splurging on certain pieces, I also love a deal and want to keep fashion accessible to everyone!
Until next time,
Lauren
