Cozy Mid December Outfit Ideas | December 2022
Cozy Outfits of the Week
This past week was an absolute whirlwind! I traveled to and from Seattle within 24 hours, went on a date and had a special dinner at the Melting Pot. Since I was doing a million things a day it seems, my outfits were just as varied. If you are a fellow midsize gal like me who likes to experiment with her style, keep on reading!
All Black Airport Outfit
I don’t know about you but I love an all black outfit. They are so easy to create and once you collect enough black garments in your wardrobe everything starts to match. For this trip since it was so short I ended up wearing my favorite black hoodie, a giant denim jacket, my favorite black leggings that everyone should own and some chunky black boots. These Dr Martens in particular are my absolute favorite, they’re easy to take off and on at the airport and they can be styled a million different ways depending on the occasion.
Alaska Concert Outfit
Now, the whole reason I was in Seattle was to meet Alaska the drag queen in Seattle! She was so sweet in person and loved my sparkly Target skirt. Since her tour was called Red 4 Filth, I knew I had to wear something red so this outfit worked out perfectly. My only recommendation is perhaps adding tights to the look so your legs stay warm but other than that I felt great singing and dancing around!
Fancy Dinner Outfit
Toward the end of the week, it was time to get dressed up and go out to one of my favorite restaurants the Melting Pot! I absolutely love anything that has to do with cheese and chocolate, you just can’t beat it. For this dinner, I wore a new dress from Swank Boutique alongside a chunky sweater and my beloved cowboy boots. I have always had a penchant for dressy casual outfits like this and by “cropping” my sweater with a belt, I created a great shape that is ideal for eating all of the fondue.
Cold Weather Workwear
At the end of the week I had a meeting with a potential collaborator so I decided to dress up a bit and wear this new coat I got from Universal Standard. I’m obsessed with the light blue color and with a sweater and jeans paired with it its the perfect elevated casual look for the office. To be even dressier, you could add trousers or booties but I still wanted to be comfortable to an extent since I work from home predominantly.
Christmas Lights Outfit
Finally we have my walking Christmas Lights tour outfit! While I wasn’t able to show the entire outfit, I did layer a pink sweater over a black turtleneck. I am oddly loving the layered look for winter, it reminds me of outfits from the 90s and I will never complain about a throwback! To complete the look, I added some simple leggings, a trendy fold over beanie and some platform booties. Overall a fantastic, warm outfit for outdoor activities!
Have a Great Week
I hope you enjoyed my outfits from this past week! Prior to moving to Spokane, I really struggled with winter fashion but this year I am really trying to push myself to finally get creative with my cold weather outfits. Whether it’s through simple layering or adding pops of color, I’m determined to look cute in the snow. For more outfits and up to date content, be sure to visit me on Instagram and Tiktok!
