Easter Week Outfit Ideas
Midsize Friendly Spring Outfits
Another week has flown by and it’s time for an outfit recap! After this week I’m realizing I may be a spring girl, I love watching the world warm back up and fashion switch back to color and lightweight pieces. We also had Easter this week which was the perfect excuse to wear something a little nicer than I usually do. To see which outfits made the cut this week, keep on reading!
Lightweight Basics
Our first outfit of the week was what I wore to happy hour with my dear friend Christine! I actually had my first work day with my new assistant that morning which was such a treat and I took the opportunity to dress up a little bit. To do so, I wore this beautiful white blouse with an open back and high waisted light wash jeans. I also added some simple platform sandals to keep everything light and neutral. If you ever want to elevate your denim, just add a nice blouse! This would also work for a date night or while traveling because you look put together without being too fancy overall.
Denim Midi Skirt Outfit
This was a bit of an outfit try on but it qualifies! I just got in this cute skirt from Amazon that I’m oddly obsessed with. I was hesitant about this trend at first because it does lean on the FDLS side of fashion and I want to look like a trendy twenty-something. Do not fear I did look my age at the end because this one has a cute slit! For the try on I just wore it over my skims lounge romper but for dinner that night I wore it with a white bodysuit and my favorite shacket. I definitely can see this piece getting a lot of use this spring!
Cute Workout Outfit
As the week continued on, it was time to go on a hot girl walk. I ended up wearing my favorite Abercrombie workout dress that comes with shorts underneath. It’s easily becoming a spring fashion basic and pairs nicely with any sneaker. I then added my favorite oversized jean jacket since it was a bit crisp outside. I’m glad I did because while we do have some sunshine in my city, it’s not enough to warrant sleeveless tops!
Pro tip: always keep a denim jacket or lightweight topper in your wardrobe. They are a great way to stay warm, stay appropriate while traveling, and adding a little bit of extra fashion to any look. Simple layering will always be in style and for my midsize girls who are self conscious about their arms, this is a great way to camouflage them.
Casual Neutrals
Is it even a Lauren blog post if I don’t share a neutral outfit with you? As we headed into the weekend, it was time to go with something pretty simplistic. I wore a new bodysuit that had just come in from Amazon. It’s a super soft piece with a great amount of stretch without sucking you in too much. Now, to balance out the outfit, I wore my favorite wide legged jeans and an oversized jacked from Free People. I love wide leg jeans for spring, they add a fun volume to any look and are pretty lightweight making them easy for travel or adventures. To top off the look I wore my favorite little clogs. They are a springtime must and go well with so many looks!
Easter Sunday Best
Our final outfit of the week is my new favorite mini dress from Target! I am obsessed with this blue color and the cut of this dress is everything. It has an open back detail, pockets, and is easy to travel with. For Easter, which I celebrated by hosting a dinner with some close friends, I styled the dress with these cute new heels I got in from Amazon. They are purple with a crocodile texture and are rather comfortable to wear. I got my true size and can’t wait to wear them more in the spring and summer!
Pro tip: when pairing different colors together, try wearing cool tones with cool tones and warm tones with warm tones. This outfit works because the blue is with purple, a fellow cool tone. Plus purple is made with blue so it doesn’t seem quite as drastic to see the two colors together.
Have a Fashionable Week
I hope the outfits above help you decide on midsize outfits this week! I absolutely love spring fashion, it’s such a fun time of year for color and playing around with different shapes. Plus as the weather starts to heat up, now is a lovely time to play around with layering and putting together outfits you may not initially think of wearing together!
