End of Summer Outfit Ideas
I cannot believe summer is almost over! I have loved playing around with summer fashion ideas, now that I am not stuck inside at work during these hot months I can finally experiment with shorts and casual outfits. I also was still traveling this week so I got some fun vacation approved content as well. To see what I wore, keep on reading. Some of these outfits are even pre-fall appropriate so enjoy!
White Mini Dress with Sneakers
While I am nowhere close to being a bride, I do love a good white dress for summer. I got this one from Amazon earlier this year and it was perfect for my family vacation. Since we were doing a lot of walking, I styled it with white sneakers and I oddly love how it turned out. I even added a sleek top knot to finish off the look and I felt like an off duty ballet dancer. Honestly a gorgeous vibe as we lean into the balletcore aesthetic of this upcoming fall!
Casual Overalls Outfit
Once I got home from vacation, it was time to go to a local sunflower festival! I hadn’t been in two years and originally I was going to wear a brown mini dress but it didn’t come in on time. In order to still look cute on my adventure, I instead leaned into the farmer aesthetic and wore my new overalls from Target! They are true to size and incredibly comfortable. They also just made me feel at one in the fields. To complete the look, I added a simple belt bag and a high neck ribbed tank with sneakers. It was absolutely perfect!
Edgy Business Casual
To end the work week, I had two business calls back to back. This warranted something more professional so I wore my favorite blazer from my corporate days. I got it at Target last year and they several varieties all over the shops this year. To keep it work from home appropriate, I just wore a simple black tank and shorts underneath. Honestly you could just wear that with some heels for a dark academia vibe to the bars if you really wanted to!
Cozy Pre Fall Outfit
For something a little different from my usual weekend attire, I added a cozy cardigan on top of the base outfit from work. I absolutely love this knit for fall, it’s super cozy and the perfect layering piece as temperatures dip. To make the outfit complete, I added some black Birkenstock sandals. They are super comfortable and I am always glad when I rediscover them in my closet!
Lightweight Maxi Dress
Our final outfit of the week is this incredibly comfortable dress from Amazon! It’s basically a maxi length and the flowy bottom is perfect for any hot weather. I also like the diagonal seams going across the dress, it adds some texture and visual interest. I also find this dress to be a great transitional piece going into fall, I think you can warm it up nicely with some sneakers and a sweater for the farmers market!
