Lazy Day Outfit Ideas

Ultra Casual Outfits of the week

This week was not as fashionable as I was wanted to be because I thought I had Covid for half of the week. Because of this, I ended up staying home most of the week so expect a lot of casual outfits in this post. Regardless, I’m always asked about casual outfit ideas so if you’re in need of inspiration, keep on reading!

Cargo pants Outfit

To kick off the week, I had a photoshoot downtown so I went for some casual y2k vibes with my favorite cargo pants and a tank. I also had several outfit changes to make so I wanted to wear something comfortable that I could easily get in and out of. If you’re going to wear cargo pants this spring, just be sure to style them with a fitted top so the outfit is balanced!

Winter Athleisure

The next day was an errand afternoon so I went with my favorite 90s jeans and a simple zip up. If you haven’t tried the Abercrombie Neo Knit, you are missing out! It’s an incredibly soft and comfortable material and adds a nice athleisure edge to any outfit. I also recommend adding simple booties for an outfit like this, it ties the winter vibes together perfectly.

90s Inspired Casual Outfit

There are certainly a lot of common threads between this weeks outfits! I think by hanging low I have gravitated more toward black but I decided to break up the darkness with light washed denim and my favorite tan booties. The key to this outfit was pairing my high rise pants with a fitted top and a big denim jacket. I’m always a sucker for the borrowed from the boys look and this outfit was no exception.

Lazy day outfit

By the weekend it was time to break out the quintessential Lauren lazy day outfit, a big hoodie with my favorite biker shorts. I love cozy hoodies on lazy days since they are super baggy and feel great when watching a bunch of television. As to the shorts, I adore my biker shorts from Lululemon. They are a bit of a splurge but the material is incredibly soft and feels like you are wearing butter. Plus shorts are always ideal for laying under blankets!

All Black Activewear

To complete the weekend, I went to Target to get a friend a present and wore my favorite fitted long sleeve with some jogger sweatpants and sneakers. The highlight to this outfit is the colorful baseball cap to add a bit of brightness amongst the black. I also added my cropped puffer vest for extra texture and some warmth. Remember sizing does matter in an outfit and the reason why this works is due to me layering something skin tight under something boxy on top.

Have a great week

I hope these outfits inspire your upcoming adventures! I know they aren’t as exciting as my usual outfits but cozy basics are a main part of my wardrobe. You can never go wrong with black layering pieces since they work just as well with black bottoms as they do with your lightest denim. The key to fashion overall is to feel great in your outfit and casual everyday outfits don’t have to be an exception.
