Night Out Outfits for Midsize Women

Early February outfit ideas

This week of outfits really focused in on going out looks! I had a magazine launch party, a night at the club, and a girls night out all in the same week. I’ll be honest, it can be hard to dress up in a post-COVID world but it’s been fun playing around with my nicer outfits. To see what I wore this past week as a midsize woman, keep on reading!

Magazine Launch Outfit

I was lucky enough to start the week with a magazine launch for my friends! Since the media would be in attendance and it was a party after all, I decided to dress up a bit and wear my favorite printed slip dress with an oversized jean jacket and black cowboy boots. Sometimes the best outfits are super neutral. The key is to just play with textures and fit!

Cozy Errands Outfit

As the week went on, it was time to run some errands in town. I went with my favorite sherpa jacket from a few years ago and styled it with some jeans and short boots. When styling an active jacket for the shops, I recommend adding something like a sweatshirt or sneakers to the outfit. You can always mix up the look with denim or a nicer shoe, just be sure to have two anchoring pieces in the same overall style.

Casual gym Outfit

When it came to going to my local gym, I went with the same sherpa as before but this time around I went all in on the activewear. I added my favorite leggings, a fitted long sleeve, and some active sneakers. If you decide to break up your gym attire with something bold like this jacket, just be sure to pull out staple colors from the garment. This outfit works because the print is not competing with other colors its mellowed out with black and white base layers.

Mid Twenties Clubbing Outfit

Oh my goodness this outfit was challenging to come up with! I had wanted to go to my favorite club in college for awhile now since I moved back to my college town but I quickly realized I had no idea what to wear! I ended up styling a satin bodysuit with some skinny black jeans and black cowboy boots. I even added an oversized black blazer for a bit of pizzazz. Once I got to the club, I realized crop tops were more in style so I sorta stuck out like a sore thumb. Not to worry though, I definitely think my clubbing days are over!

Black and White outfit

The following evening I had a girls night planned with some friends and this was far easier to dress for. We went to a unique bar downtown and I wore black leather pants, a white corset inspired tank, my favorite jean jacket and my white cowboy boots. I am definitely loving the western aesthetic this year and really liked how these pieces all came together. This outfit certainly worked because the black and white broke itself up nicely and was subtle yet cool!

Have a Great Week

I hope these outfits help inspire your upcoming week! I absolutely love fashion and pushing myself as a stylist more or less through interesting outfits. Regardless of what may be on my social and work calendar, I always try to dress in a way that makes me look and feel my best.
