Nashville Outfit Guide

What I Wore to Nashville

Earlier this week I went to Nashville TN for the first time and had an absolute blast! While we were really only there for 2 days, I wanted to lean into the western aesthetic and add my own spin to Tennessee style. I made sure to pack a cowboy hat, some dresses, my cowboy boots and flares! From there it was a matter of mixing and matching my wardrobe to create the Lauren version of southern dressing.

White Out

My first outfit was an all white moment! My travel buddy and I spent the morning at brunch and went on a tour of the Country Music Hall of Fame. Since brunch was the main focus, I wanted to wear something rather feminine and brunch-y. Hence the white mini dress from Forever 21 paired with my favorite cowboy boots! It felt western enough but was still appropriate for my style and the season.

By the way, if you’re in Nashville do not skip out on Biscuit Love! Their food is next level and the bonuts in particular changed my life. The price of food in Nashville was also so reasonable coming from a Washingtonian. I wish restaurants were inexpensive like that in Seattle!

Broadway Babe

For our first real night out we went to Broadway to try out the bars and Jason Aldeans restaurant! The food was fabulous and the drinks were second to none. We also got to see a ton of cool live performances which was super special. I think my favorite part about Nashville was how much creativity seemed to ooze from the city. I saw so many great outfits and listened to some wonderful music the whole trip. Now, as to the outfit I went for something a bit risky. I wore this mini dress from Shein that I meant to wear in Vegas with cowboy boots and a hat. I wish the dress was a wee bit longer but overall the vibes were great and I felt like I fit right in!

Glam Rock Realness

For our second day of exploration I leaned into my love of the 70s and rock and roll. That day we toured the Grand Ole Opry and did some window shopping. I made sure to wear my southern graphic tee and added a western flair (literally) with flare jeans! I also chose to be practical that day and wore my favorite high top Converse. For some added warmth, I also wore my new jacket from Kittenish that I picked up the previous day. Pro tip, if you have space in your suitcase try and pick up some new clothes from wherever you’re visiting. It’s a fun way to get a momento!

Grand Ole Opry Outfit

My final outfit was for my concert! After taking a tour at the Grand Ole Opry, we ended up getting discounted tickets to the show that night. For the show, I decided to keep on my jeans and added my favorite rhinestone fringe jacket with white cowboy boots and a bandeau. I wanted to keep the look fairly simplistic since the focus was on the music. Overall the perfect vibe for the final evening.

Safe Travels

If you are headed to Nashville sometime soon, I hope these outfits inspired you! I love pushing my wardrobe boundaries and experimenting with the style of whichever place I’m visiting. The key is to tweak the typical outfits there to your own personal aesthetic and have fun with what you create. Oh, by the way, I hope you like these looks because there may be a lot more where this came from…

Until next time!
