Outfits of the Week | June 2022

Midsize Friendly Outfit Ideas from June

Ah yes, my week in quarantine! While I didn’t go anywhere this week (I cancelled all plans due to COVID), I still tried to play around with my wardrobe. I personally find fashion to be healing in a way, it allowed me to be creative while I wasn’t fully myself. Now, for midsize and budget friendly outfit ideas for cool summer days, keep on reading!

Interview Attire

To kick off the week, I actually had a zoom interview for a social media manager role (that I got!!)! Since I don’t typically dress up for work, I thought it would be fun to do something business casual for the occasion. Thus, I broke out my favorite button down from my corporate days, half tucked it into some denim, and called it good. For the office, I would recommend a block heel or mule but since I was home I didn’t add a shoe. Either way, it’s a great base outfit for business or just a fun way to spice up working from home!

All Black Outfit

Fun fact about me, my favorite color is black! So of course I had to go with an all black outfit one day. I particularly liked this legging and tank option, its quite comfortable and the top is double lined so you don’t necessarily need a bra with it. If you wanted to wear this look out, I would add some chunky sneakers and maybe a baseball cap and belt bag. These sorts of looks are just the best because you can really personalize them to your liking!

Neutral Athleisure Outfit

On hump day, I was finally able to leave the house to grab Starbucks so I took advantage of the moment and somewhat dressed up in a crewneck sweatshirt and biker shorts. Since I was working from home essentially the entire day, I still wanted to be comfortable while looking put together. What really sealed the deal for me was adding a grey crossbody with matching grey sneakers. It made the outfit far more cohesive and I just felt great!

Zip up Hoodie Outfit

The night before I wore this look, I got a zip up hoodie in from Aerie. I have wanted a sweatshirt/jacket for a little bit now for my more casual everyday outfits. This one was on sale and totally fit the bill! I think it’s super cute and I’ve pretty much worn it every day since. For those in a bit of a warmer environment, this piece is especially great because its a lightweight terry loop that stays breathable. Overall a 10/10 find!

Simple Black and White Outfit

To round off the week, I have my Father’s Day outfit! I went with my favorite black tank from Amazon and kept things simple with my white 90s jeans from Abercrombie. For summer, there is nothing better than a pair of white denim. I also jazzed it up some with a light cardigan to take some pictures of my sister outside. Basic outfits like this will always be my default, they don’t take much effort yet you still look put together!

Outfit Week in Review

I hope these outfits of the week inspired your upcoming week! For those of you living in the PNW like myself, these outfits are perfect for casual days in the rain. Just layer them up with jackets or raincoats and you’ll be set! Remember, fashion is always about expressing yourself outwardly to feel as confident as possible. These outfits help me do just that and honestly helped me get through this past week of isolation!

Until next time,

Lauren
