Pre Winter Outfits of the Week | December 2022

Early Winter Outfit Ideas

This week was another chilly week in the life. Snow was all around and holiday parties have begun for my social calendar! Whether you are headed to cocktail parties or casual girls nights, I have a look for everyone! To see what I’ve been wearing this past week, keep on reading.

Cocktail hour Outfit

Starting the week off strong I had a fun girls night out at the local Peacock Lounge. Since it was a cocktail bar, I decided to go all out and wear my new pearl bodysuit with a blazer and dad jeans. Sometimes an all black outfit is the vibe (okay all black is always the vibe), especially when you break it up with different textures and details. This holiday season I’m loving pearls and an updated take on corsetry. It’s unique and looks great with the trendy oversized blazer!

Sporty neutral layers

My next look was for the nail salon and I love how this outfit turned out too. I’ve been obsessed with the cropped puffer this fall/winter and a dark brown option looks great contrasted against light denim and white. Another reason why this outfit works great is this basic layering bodysuit. I really enjoy simple turtlenecks like this one, they work well under tees, coats and sweatshirts. The styling options are really endless plus they provide warmth during wintertime minus any of the bulk.

Going Green Outfit

This week was really filled with special events! My next night out was for my Gals Need Pals group. I decided to wear a new dress from the local Swank boutique styled with my long green coat and tights. Outfits like this work great because you are sticking to one color palette and the shades do not need to match to be fashionable. Just choose one color and mix up the textures like wool and velvet.

Pro fashion tip, when wearing dresses in the snow, layer with a sheer tight. They are trendier than an opaque tight while also adding some sexiness to an outfit!

Updated workwear

As we have mentioned before, I work for myself so workwear is very flexible in my world. For a more corporate setting, don’t wear a distressed jean but a wider style is always encouraged. Overall though, I love an outfit like this for the office. Just layer a simple sweater with a long coat and a chunky boot. Bonus points for a neutral bag like this Louis Vuitton lookalike!

Casual Balletcore Outfit

Our last outfit option of the week is this casual take on the balletcore trend. I actually danced for 8 years growing up and the ballet world will always hold a special place in my heart. To modernize the look and update it to my personal style, I wore my favorite crew socks, scrunched them down akin to a leg warmer and added my favorite slipper boots. To continue harkening back to ballet, I also added a cozy cream sweatshirt and leggings. Sometimes basics are the move!

Have a Great week

I hope these outfits inspire you this week! Fashion can be difficult and with the never ending trends it’s hard to decide what to wear sometimes. Do not fret though, I keep myself busy during the week and really have an outfit for any occasion. Whether you enjoy dressing up like I did for the parties or if you’re more casual, with simple basics any look is possible. For more up to date outfits, be sure to follow me on Instagram and TikTok!

Until next time,
