Beginners Guide to Christmas Cookies
Last night, I spent the better part of THREE HOURS baking Christmas cookies!! I wanted to create a variety of cookies and while I wasn’t the most successful, I tried 🤣Keep reading to see which cookies I tried and make them for yourself!
I found the ingredients at Haggen Grocers in Olympia. Washington and got to cooking! Here are the recipes I used…
I went with the Hershey Bell kisses and they turned out so good!!
These were my FAVORITES! I topped them with Ghirardelli peppermint chocolates and they were delicious 🤤Pro Tip: Fully combine the cocoa power and butter/sugar… they tend to get too gooey if you don’t fully mix the wet and dry ingredients!
Did they end up looking like a 6 year old made them? Yes. Yes they did. BUT they were tasty and that’s what counts. Granted I did not soften the butter enough which made the rolling process a challenge, but they still turned out good!
Let me know if you try these cookies!! While you are baking, make sure not to spill anything like peppermint. On your leg. It will cause a tingling sensation all night! In other news, I hope you have better luck than I did 🤣
XOXO,
Lauren
