Las Vegas Travel Diary

For spring break, right before the Corona virus completely Washington and the world was a little brighter, I went to Las Vegas with my best friends. Although I feel a little weird making this post, I know there is pleasure in looking at fun content and when this all settles down once again, I hope this can help someone in the future prepare for their trip!! I absolutely love travel and while I’m stuck at home, I’m going to just relive the good times and keep creating content! PS: stay till the end for a special link!

Day 1

On Saturday, we left Seattle around 7:30 in the morning. Our flight to Vegas was pretty chill, I played backgammon and worked on some Instagram posts. Once we landed, we took a quick pit stop to Liquorworld (which is much pricier than before) and headed to the Mirage. I was so excited to be back in our hotel! Everything looked like I remembered and we headed to our room to prep for the afternoon. Our first order of business was to grab Chipotle and head to the pool. While we were there, I managed to take some cute swimsuit pictures and relax in the sun ☀️

I created my own bikini using some pieces from Zaful last year! After we were done outside, we got ourselves cleaned up and visited Vanderpump Gardens in Caesars Palace. I love that hotel and I am SO GLAD we went to this bar! The drinks were amazing, if you like piña colada I recommend the Nut Job, it was delicious. When you go, make sure to dress up a bit and take some pictures. Pro tip, use the flashlight from another phone to get a good level of brightness without flash. It helps make the pictures look 100 times better!!

After drinks, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for night one!! We went to Lights in Mandalay Bay and had a great time dancing and singing 💕

Day 2

With a rather late start to the day, we ended up at the Cosmopolitan to party at Marquee day club! I went last year and absolutely loved it. This year was even better because my class was there! I loved wandering around, saying hi to everyone. Plus, the music was phenomenal! The Cosmo is my all time favorite hotel in Vegas and never ceases to amaze me. I remember going my first trip to Vegas and just instantly fell in love.

Had to throw in a pic from sophomore year! My first ever Vegas trip 😭After we went out, we headed to the LINQ promenade for an early dinner!! I tried a sushi burrito and OH MY GOODNESS it was amazing. Like one of the best things ever. Since sushi wasn’t enough, I also picked up some Ghirardelli ice cream next door and ate that too 😋After we ate, we went back to the hotel to get ready for night 2. We were soon off to Hakkasan and danced the night away with friends. Honestly is there anything better than a dance party? I. Think. Not.

Day 3

Once again we woke up late but we had things to do!! First, we headed over to TopGolf. I could not tell you why I love this form of golfing, I just think it’s the best!! I went last year and loved it, so it had to make an appearance once more in my itinerary. Before we played, we grabbed some Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Whenever you travel with a Chick-Fil-A manager, there is a high chance you will end up eating at one. Regardless, the sandwich was great and I felt ready to play! Somehow, I got 3rd place and I was very pleased with that score. As long as I wasn’t last, I felt successful ✨

Gotta look boujee at the golf course right 😜 After the game, we headed to our second game of the day, Gonzaga versus University of San Fransisco. Last year, I got a $35 ticket right before the game started. I thought the same would happen this year… NOPE! Instead, I was met with $150 and a huge BYU section 👀 Needless to say, we did not make it to that game in person. Instead, we watched at a TGI Fridays and celebrated inside of the New Orleans hotel instead of the arena. Oh well. Regardless, Gonzaga won so we were happy! Riding on this high, we got ready to go out to Jewel in the Aria and whoop it up! Honestly that night was nothing special but we were just saving our energy for the next day…

Day 5

Surprise surprise, we had a late start 🤣We got ourselves all ready for the big Gonzaga game and first headed to brunch! The only option is Hash House a Go Go, tons of food at a reasonable price. I love anything with their griddle mashed potatoes, they are a must have. After we ate, we headed back to the arena WITH TICKETS 🎉 Luckily, we were some of the first people so we got front row!! I had an absolute blast watching what was the last game of the year. I am so proud of my Zags and so grateful for the experience! Nothing beats a basketball game with your besties, especially when your team is the WCC champs!

I must say the second picture is one of the best pictures anyone has taken of me. And I’ve been blogging for almost a year now 🤣 For reals, that game was so special and I can’t believe I was there for the victory! To celebrate, we went out to Omnia at Caesars and whooped it up!! It was genuinely one of the best nights of my life.

Although the trip is over and I haven’t left my apartment since Friday, I am so appreciative of these memories. If you’ve ever been to Vegas, let me know what your favorite places are! I hope to go again someday 💕

XOXO,

Lauren
