Travel Guide: 24 Hours in Seattle Washington
To ring in 2020, my friends and I decided to rent a hotel room in Downtown Seattle so we could celebrate in style!! We started off the afternoon with some shopping, then went out for dinner and spent the night at some cute bars 🥂 Keep reading to see where we went and what we did!!
Before we went on our adventure, we first found ourselves a hotel 😍 We started shopping around for somewhere to stay a few weeks before we knew we were visiting the city because we wanted to find a good deal! Fortunately, we LUCKED OUT on a room at the Hilton on 6th Avenue. Since the spot was right downtown, we were close to great food, shopping, and we were about 10 minutes away from Capital Hill where we spent our evening. Honestly, I am so glad we picked the Hilton for our stay, the room was so cute and clean, plus we had a fun view of the city! I also liked the parking garage within the hotel, we were able to park once and walk around/Uber the rest of the trip.
When we first got to the city, we parked the car and checked into our room. I tried to pack as lightly as I could but I needed to bring a good amount of makeup and clothing for the evening. I also brought comfortable clothing for the day time because we planned on walking around and shopping. Since we were a few blocks from my favorite shops, we just looked at Nike, Nordstrom, and the Rack! I didn’t find anything that I had to have but there were some purses that I want in the future…
Once we walked around, we grew pretty hungry and walked to Cheesecake Factory 🤦🏻♀️If you want actual local food, I recommend Poquitos on Capital Hill! It’s a few minute drive from the shops but the food is excellent so I say it’s worth it. After we had dinner, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for our night!
Since we went out for NYE, I wanted to be as sparkly as possible! I love this dress from Fashion Nova and the clips were a fun addition to the outfit 😍 With our outfits ready to go, we first went to Unicorn. This bar is insanely fun with their fruity cocktails, bright interior, and drag performances! My friends and I had a blast dancing around and trying out a few drinks 😋 I think my favorite was the Cheap Date, a lower price option!! Pro tip: if you are going out in Seattle, make sure to have some drinks beforehand at home; everything is expensive in the city!
After the Unicorn (seen above!), we went out to Rhein Haus which was a few blocks away. Somehow we ran into everyone we knew in the line to get in 🤣 Regardless, I think Rhein Haus is the perfect place to welcome in the New Year, they have a ton of balloons that drop and their music was great! I also love Rhein Haus on an average weekend, again there are a bunch of people and the German vibes are so fun.
Once we were partied out, we went back to the hotel and hit the hay. The next morning, we relaxed in the room and found some Starbucks nearby. One of the best parts of Seattle is their ample amount of Starbucks cafe’s 🤤 If I had more time, I would totally hit the Reserve store but we were a little too tired for that. When I am back in the Spring, would you like an updated post??
XOXO,
Lauren
